Famed MTV producer Jared March has been confirmed dead aged just 28.
Jared March rose to fame as a producer on MTV’s The Challenge.
The reality competition show began as a spin-off from The Real World and Road Rules eventually went on to cast some of the biggest names in reality TV, from Are You The One, Vanderpump Rules, and Ex On The Beach, to name but a few.
Heartbreakingly, March passed away just weeks after marrying his wife, Brittany Greene.
Following the announcement, tributes to the talented TV star began to rush in.
The Challenge posted on their official Instagram account: “We dedicate tonight’s episode in loving memory of Jared March – a beloved member of our Challenge family. Jared was an amazing person, incredible friend, loving husband and ultimate champion of The Challenge.”
In his heartwrenching final social media post, Jared posted pictures of his mother in honour of her birthday.
“Thanks for being that all knowing, all caring human that I’m fortunate enough to get to call Mom,” he captioned the album.

March has also recently shared an Instagram announcement of his wedding, writing: “2023 has been another year of lessons, learnings, and adventures. My biggest take away is the idea of finding a balance between planning for the future and living for the now. It’s important to have things to look forward to, however, you shouldn’t always hold out on things that could happen now.
“In taking that advice, I’m happy to share that Brittany and I spontaneously decided to get married yesterday. We are still so excited for our big celebration later in 2024 but we didn’t want to wait to start this next phase of our lives together.
“People say – when you know, you know and I knew long before we even started dating. To officially be able to call Brittany my wife is a long time coming. Yesterday was a beautiful day but the life we have ahead of us is even more beautiful.”
Following the announcement of Jared’s death, the Team JMared Foundation has been set up in his honour.
He had been fighting his battle with soft-tissue sarcoma for two-and-a-half years.
The site reads: “Jared Ross March sadly passed away on January 27, 2024 at 28 years old after a two and half year battle with cancer. Jared was strong, kind, creative, funny and loving. He was deeply curious, endlessly caring, unrelenting and determined. He was an amazing son, brother, husband, grandson, uncle, cousin, friend and colleague. He was one of a kind, happy go lucky and a kid at heart through and through.”
The foundation has raised $300,000 for fellow patients and will go towards non-medical cancer treatment costs like housing, transportation, childcare, eldercare, rent payments and other essential bills.
Rest in peace.
