Joe Rogan didn’t hesitate when Mike Tyson asked him to name his UFC GOAT.
Rogan has called the fights of Georges St-Pierre, Anderson Silva and Jon Jones during his legendary career as a UFC commentator.
But on the UFC GOAT debate, the 56-year-old opted to name another fighter.
When discussing UFC greatest with boxing legend Tyson, Rogan picked ex-UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, who enjoyed a legendary run in the promotion.
During an episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson in 2022, the former world heavyweight champion asked for Rogan’s opinion on the greatest fighter in UFC history to which he replied: “It’s hard to say, but it might have been Mighty Mouse.
“When Mighty Mouse was in his prime, he was so magnificent, he was so fast, and he was doing things that you couldn’t believe how he could do (that).”
Rogan argued his case by referencing Johnson’s spectacular victory over Ray Borg, adding: “He hit a dude with a suplex and caught him with an armbar on the way down
“And I’m not exaggerating this. He body dumped this guy, and in the process of taking him to the ground, got him in an armbar.”
‘Mighty Mouse’ beat the likes of Ian McCall, Joseph Benavidez, Henry Cejudo as he made an incredible 11 title defences during his reign as 125lbs champion – only Jon Jones has managed the same achievement.

He was a special talent who completely neutralised his opponents, with Rogan hailing the fighter’s dominance at his peak.
“When he was in his prime, he was fighting world-caliber competition, and they weren’t even hitting him,” he added.
“He was moving on angles that they didn’t expect, he was feinting them and shooting for takedowns, he was kicking them in the head when they thought he was going to throw a takedown.
“He was just hitting people with like wizard sh*t.”
