The former NBA player was married to Khloe from 2009 to 2016, and their relationship was rarely out of the public eye during those years.
Although they’ve moved on in their own separate lives, Odom recently visited the RealDoll sex toy factory in Las Vegas to make a purchase, his manager Gina Rodriguez revealed to TMZ.
Ultimately, Odom ordered a doll featuring a face similar to Khloe’s, with his representative telling TMZ that “he can do whatever he wants with her [the sex doll] sexually.”
The dolls are known to carry a hefty price tag, usually ranging from $8,000 to $20,000, although Odom is believed to have received a discount on his purchase.
The sex doll Odom ordered is still in production, but it’s expected to be delivered to him in time for the holiday season.
After these images and videos surfaced, many social media users quickly reacted, with most expressing strong disapproval of Odom’s actions.
In a statement Odom’s manager Gina Rodriguez explained: “Lamar Odom’s choice to purchase a RealDoll modeled after his ex speaks to the complex ways people process and cope with significant relationships from their past. It’s possible that this RealDoll represents a unique blend of nostalgia, comfort, and a way to reconcile his personal journey.”
“While it may seem unconventional, it’s a very personal form of expression that allows him to channel and make peace with those memories in a private and non-destructive way. Everyone has their own methods for dealing with meaningful chapters in life, and for Lamar, this may be a way of revisiting that part of his past with a sense of control and resolution.”
Their marriage had been impacted by numerous cheating scandals, with Odom revealing in his 2019 memoir, Darkness to Light, the intense pressures he felt from fame and other struggles.
“Oh, did I mention the paranoia, anxiety, depression. … I couldn’t keep my d–k in my pants or the coke out of my nose.”
“I’ve had sex with more than two thousand women. There were too many strippers to count. My sex addiction and my cocaine addiction go hand in hand.”
“I wish I could have been more of a man. It still bothers me to this day. But regret is something we have to learn to live with.”
