Liam Neeson has a confession, and it’s equal parts adorable and heartwarming: he’s “madly in love” with none other than Baywatch actress, Pamela Anderson.
After working with her on the new Naked Gun reboot, Neeson couldn’t stop gushing over his co-star, making fans wonder if there’s a little extra “chemistry” behind the scenes.
For those who don’t know, The Naked Gun is making a comeback, and Neeson is stepping into the role of Drebin Jr. — likely the son of the bumbling detective played by Leslie Nielsen in the original.
While the movie will surely be a hit, it’s Neeson’s swooning over Pamela that’s really stealing the spotlight.
The new cast list is stacked, too, with Paul Walter Hauser, Danny Huston, and even Busta Rhymes joining the chaos.
Neeson went full heart-eyes in a recent People interview, admitting that he’s absolutely enamored with Pam Anderson — as he should be.
“With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her,” he confessed.
He couldn’t stop, adding, “She’s just terrific to work with.” You don’t hear “madly in love” and “terrific” in Hollywood often, but Neeson’s clearly got it bad and who can blame him?
Apparently, Anderson’s easygoing and down-to-earth vibe is what won him over.
“No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work,” Neeson said. Given the drama that usually follows A-listers, this feels like high praise. “She’s funny and so easy to work with,” he added, practically beaming.
Of course, Pamela didn’t leave Neeson hanging.
She called him the “perfect gentleman,” which, coming from Pamela Anderson, is huge. “He brings out the best in you… with respect, kindness, and depth of experience,” she said.
What a sweetheart!
Despite his work crush, Neeson shared he’s been having some doubts about his comedic chops.
“Whether I can carry it or not, I honestly don’t know,” he shrugged, sounding more humble than a guy who’s literally saved the world on-screen a dozen times.
Pamela, though, has full confidence in him. She revealed, “It was hard to keep a straight face in scenes together.”
Neeson’s still skeptical about big franchises, though. He took a little swipe at Star Wars on Conan O’Brien’s podcast, saying the endless spin-offs are “diluting the whole thing.”
Star Wars fans might clutch their lightsabers, but Neeson’s got a point — he’s a one-and-done kinda guy.
The actor admitted he even avoids giving Star Wars autographs, saying, “Occasionally there’s kids after a Star Wars autograph, and I don’t want to give autographs at the airport.”
Anyway, Liam’s in love with Pamela, wrestling with comedy, and taking jabs at Star Wars — it’s fair to say we’re in for one unpredictable reboot.
Whether he’s the new Drebin or just a guy with a thing for Pamela Anderson, we’re here for it.
Could Liam and Pam be Hollywood’s next favorite couple? We can only hope. But in the meantime, the Naked Gun reboot is set to be released in theatres in August 2025. Stay tuned!
