The world can be a really unpredictable place, filled with risks and problems for those who aren’t careful.
It’s a sad reality that this is still true today, but I suppose some issues will always be around; they’re just an unfortunate part of being human.
Over the years, we’ve tried to share insights and information with our readers whenever we can, including natural signs and signals to watch for, and what certain things – like a seemingly innocent water bottle on your tire – might indicate.
That’s why we believe it’s important to share a warning about a possible tactic used by criminals to trick unsuspecting drivers into getting out of their cars late at night.
You might have heard of the ‘abandoned baby’ trick, but we hadn’t until we came across a viral post by a mother who wanted to warn as many people as she could.

To put it simply, this woman was eager to make the public aware of the potential risks involved in stopping to check out what looks like an abandoned stroller on the roadside.
Picture this: you’re cruising down a dimly lit road when you notice a stroller left on the grass. Most people’s instincts kick in at that moment, and you might hit the brakes to check it out. In some situations, the driver might even get out of their car to ensure everything is okay.
And that’s when, as reports suggest, criminals hiding nearby could launch their attack.
“Yes, people wait in hiding,” a Facebook user remarked on the post. “At best, they rob you; at worst, they might hurt you too.”
Another person chimed in: “I would just call the police to check it out. It may sound harsh, but it’s not worth the risk.”

Unfortunately, scams like these – which prey on the kindness of others – have been around for most of human history, and they seem to effectively lure victims into situations they would normally avoid.
The bottom line is that you should always stay alert, especially if you’re driving in the dark in a remote area!
