The tragic news was confirmed by Harrison’s representative, Laura Herlovich, who disclosed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Adam had been discovered on Friday.
“Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss,” Herlovich shared on behalf of the Harrison family.
TMZ first reported the news, revealing that the Harrison family learned of Adam’s death on Friday.
The outlet discloses that the 39-year-old reportedly died of an overdose.
Further circumstances regarding Adam’s death, including when, where and from what substance he allegedly overdosed on have yet to be confirmed.
The Las Vegas Metro Police Department tells TMZ that an investigation into his death has been opened.
Harrison has paid a heartfelt tribute to his son on Instagram, which reads: “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam.”
Hundreds have taken to the comments and paid their respects, with one writing: “I am really sorry to hear that your son has passed away. You have my blessing, may he rest in peace.”
Another says: “This is heartbreaking. I’m so very sorry for you and your entire family.”
While a third pens: “Sorry for your loss, RIP Adam.”
“Oh no, god bless that family,” somebody else comments.
Adam is one of Harrison’s three children – who are all boys – and he seemingly never appeared in the family’s TV show.
It’s believed that he has previously helped out at the pawn shop but at some point, stepped away.
Little is known about Adam’s personal life, but TMZ reports that some people have claimed he may have made himself a living in some kind of trade.
Harrison’s oldest son, Corey, is heavily involved in Pawn Stars and first appeared in the programme back in 2009.
In 2018, Harrison’s father Richard, who was also referred to as ‘Old Man’, died at the age of 77 from Parkinson’s disease.
The now 58-year-old penned a tear-jerking tribute at the time, which read that his father ‘will be tremendously missed by our family, the team at Gold & Silver Pawn and his many fans the world over’.
