Rhythmic gymnastics at the 2024 Paris Olympics is not usually a sport that people regularly pay attention to, but Sofia Raffaeli certainly got some eyes on her and the sport with one picture.
The world of rhythmic gymnastics had its eyes on Sofia Raffaeli during the first day of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.
It led to even more eyes with the help of fabulous sports photography.
The Italian competitor became the unwilling victim of one of the best snapshots ever taken at the Olympics when she was caught in mid-air doing a leap with her legs extended and her head nonexistent.
The ball prop she was using replaced her head completely.
The image of Sofia Raffaeli was taken from an upward front-facing angle, which was perfect when the final shot was sent out.
