Halo brows: The latest fun and quirky beauty trend – BLOG

Eyebrows have always been a fun area for beauty experimentation. If you check out social media, you’ll see all sorts of eyebrow styles, from unicorn horns to Nike swooshes and even fishtail shapes.

Just when you thought you had seen everything, the playful halo brows made their debut…

Like many strange beauty fads, halo brows are a product of the quirky realm of social media. Platforms such as TikTok and Instagram have become hotspots for trends that push the boundaries of conventional beauty.

Halo brows – which create a halo-like curve across your forehead connecting both brows into a single loop – were invented by Hannah Lyne, a 16-year-old influencer from Britain, whose doodles went viral in no time.

“So my friend and I were chatting about the fishtail brow trend, and that’s when we thought of this,” Lyne wrote in her Instagram post introducing the design that sparked excitement and confusion.

In an interview with Pop Sugar, the beauty blogger clarified that it wasn’t a joke and that the “look was inspired by fishtail brows.”

“I was talking with a friend about brainstorming a new look, and suddenly it hit me that I should connect my brow tails,” she explained.

Further sharing her thoughts with Yahoo Style, Lyne added, “I just want everyone to have fun being silly and trying out weird, creative styles!”

‘Absurd’ trend

Like many fads that emerge from social media, halo brows have generated a mix of responses.

Some users on Instagram appeared to adore the style and complimented Lyne’s creativity: “I love it!” one user comments, while another adds: “All of your looks are so unique…Honestly, your talent knows no bounds!”

“How do you even think of your ideas? They’re so imaginative and you always pull them off perfectly! You’re super talented,” says a third user.

On the other hand, most internet users were quick to label the revamped unibrow as a “silly” trend.

“Vomits Uncontrollably,” one user comments on Lyne’s Instagram post. “I can’t tell if she’s serious,” says another, while a third remarks, “Instagram? More like Instaregret.”

Meanwhile, some claimed she looks “absurd,” and suggested they’re “deleting Instagram because of this picture.”

Yet, Cosmopolitan referred to the “heavenly halo brows” as “oddly beautiful.”

“Get ready to see the unconventional, yet stunning work of arch,” the magazine states about the looped eyebrows.

Even if you don’t like the style, it’s interesting to watch makeup artists come up with various ways to shape their eyebrows – whether they have one or two.

What are your thoughts on halo brows? Would you prefer to pluck or wax instead of letting your brows grow? We’d love to hear your opinions, and don’t forget to share this story with your friends so we can get their feedback too!
