“80% of my tattoos are a mistake”, she said during the conversation, held in the context of the release of her ninth studio album, “Something Beautiful”.

Widely famous artist Miley Cyrus, former Disney star and nowadays pop icon, spoke openly in an interview for The New York Times Magazine about the tattoos that marked different stages of her life, which she now recognizes as some of her most impulsive but also most thoughtful decisions.

“80% of my tattoos are a mistake”, she said during the conversation, held in the context of the release of her ninth studio album, “Something Beautiful”.
“I don’t regret them enough to laser them, but some of them… I could do without… I love my cat, but I didn’t need it tattooed. I love my dog, but having a pitbull in every picture for the rest of my life is kind of intense”, she commented humorously.

Although many of her tattoos came from impulse rather than deep artistic need, Miley chooses to wear them with pride rather than laser them off, seeing them as visible marks of her personal and professional evolution.
