Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are once again at the center of social media buzz after fans noticed a series of sweet moments that have sparked fresh excitement about the couple’s relationship.
Now that the wedding is over, she’s keeping things Swift when it comes to their plans for the future
‘First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage.’ So goes the nursery rhyme. And now that Taylor Swift’s ticked the first two things off that list, it’s no surprise that fans are waiting with bated breath for news of the third.
Sure, it might be just a week since Taylor and Travis Kelce said ‘I do’, but if there’s one thing we know about the newlywed superstar, it’s that, when she sets her mind to something, she commits 100 per cent. Just look at their $20m wedding, held at Madison Square Garden arena on July 3, complete with 1,100 VIP guests, and wedding raffle prizes that included designer handbags and even a luxury vintage car.
So, now that she’s pulled off the wedding of the century, it only stands to reason that she’ll be turning all her attention towards that next major life milestone. And, according to sources, the pitter patter of tiny feet might really come sooner than we think.
‘Taylor and Travis are both on the same page about wanting a family,’ says an insider close to the besotted pair, who are currently enjoying a few weeks of downtime – on a top-secret, luxury honeymoon naturally – before NFL player Travis reports for training camp on July 28. ‘That was something they talked about very early on because it’s so important to Taylor. She didn’t want to invest her time into Travis if that wasn’t something he wanted too.

‘She’s spent years dreaming about getting married and having children – to finally be able to start this next chapter of her life is a dream come true. She would love to get pregnant on the honeymoon; that’s how quickly she wants this to happen.’
Though, of course, Taylor knows that some things simply can’t be planned with timely precision, we’re told the matter of becoming a mother is one that – she feels – has a slight time crunch. Not only are she and Travis insanely busy with their superstar careers, with Travis set to start football season in September straight after training and her never not writing and recording new music and planning world tours – there’s also the fact that they both want a big family.
At 36, Taylor has more than enough time, but – we’re told – she’s also mindful of the fact that her mum, Andrea, was five years younger when she had her. Having prioritised her own career for so long, she now feels ready to shift certain priorities moving forwards.
‘Taylor and Travis have both said they want to have a big family,’ says our source. ‘Three, maybe even four kids, but they’re also both mature enough to know it’s better to take one step at a time and see how things evolve. Still, because they do see themselves having more than one child, there is a slight sense of urgency. Taylor doesn’t want to be having kids too late in life, mostly because she wants to be able to have as much time with them as possible. Andrea was 31 when she had her, so she definitely feels somewhat behind when it comes to having kids – although, of course, she recognises that she spent her 20s and 30s doing something pretty huge, so she’s not beating herself up over it.
‘It was very important to her to wait until she found the right partner. Unfortunately, most of her relationships before Travis were pretty unstable, but – with him – it’s been smooth sailing since day one. They never argue or have any sort of toxic drama, which means the world to her because she wants to raise her kids in a home that’s peaceful.’
Having long been known as unlucky in love – and singing about her ‘long list of ex-lovers’ – we’ve certainly seen a sea change in Taylor since she and Travis first got together in 2023. Her willingness to put their love on full display, in contrast to her years of shrouded secrecy with ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, was just one indicator that things were different this time around. But then she really doubled down on their forever love and big plans for the future last year. After announcing their engagement last August, the singer followed this up in October with the release of her highly anticipated 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, which focuses heavily on her loved-up life with Travis.

Now, nine months since the album was released, it seems as if Taylor is finally getting everything she ever wanted. The love and marriage bits are locked down – and all that’s left is that baby in the baby carriage. And if you ask Travis, it sounds as if he’s just as excited for this version of their future.
Last month, while speaking to his brother Jason Kelce – who has four daughters – on their hit podcast New Heights, Travis said he ‘sees it in our future’ when it comes to adding to the Kelce brood. He then joked, in a nod to Taylor’s song that talked about their parental plans, ‘I’ll add it to my wish list.’

All this, we’re told, is testament to the couple’s mutual understanding that they’re definitely on the same page. They didn’t do their wedding by halves, and – by the sound of things – they’re not letting their dreams for a happy ever after stop there.
‘Of course, they know these things are out of their hands,’ our source adds. ‘And they’re trying not to put pressure on themselves as far as the timeline, but there’s no doubt they’d like to get going on this. As excited as they were for the wedding, they’re both saying that was just the beginning.’
