The Kansas City Chiefs community generally recognizes veteran tight end Travis Kelce for his dominance on the football field, but recent events revealed his musical abilities. During his July 3 wedding to 14-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift, Kelce surprised guests by performing a vocal duet.
While some might attribute his singing skills to his wife’s influence, his brother, Jason Kelce, confirmed that Travis has always been able to carry a tune.
Jason Kelce confirms Travis Kelce’s singing at the reception
Speaking on Tuesday’s episode of the “Ross Tucker Football Podcast,” Jason said that his younger brother sang during the reception at his and Swift’s wedding at Madison Square Garden, putting an end to days of fan speculation about whether the tight end had actually taken the mic.

Host Ross Tucker attended the ceremony with his wife, Kara. He brought up the singing rumors after his sister-in-law asked about them. Tucker told Jason he saw the performance firsthand and praised Travis’s stage presence, noting that he looked like a natural performer rather than an athlete moonlighting on stage
Jason backed that up without hesitation, saying, “Yeah, Trav can sing. Trav has always being able to carry a tune. Obviously, paled in comparison to some of the other people singing that night, but he did okay. I think the Tuckers definitely have us beat in beer pong, I know that. I don’t know if I’ve ever met a better beer pong player than Ross Tucker. So, we can sing all right. Trav is very good.”
However, it’s not the first time Travis, who is reportedly preparing for his last dance, has grabbed a mic in public. He and Jason joined Whitesnake on stage in 2024 for a guest vocal turn on “Here I Go Again,” so the wedding cameo tracks with a singing pattern the brothers have built over the years.
Although the Kelce brothers did not inherit musical talent from their parents, Jason credited their childhood environment in Ohio for their comfort on stage. He explained that growing up in Cleveland Heights exposed them to a thriving local music scene and a diverse, artistic community. This upbringing helped both brothers develop an early appreciation for performing, despite lacking a musical family background.
