Home Invasion Turns Violent After Two Suspects Refuse to Leave

A reported home-invasion attempt in Alabama ended with two men arrested after a confrontation with a homeowner became violent.

According to authorities, the incident happened during Labor Day at a home in Center Point. Investigators said two men allegedly tried to enter the property without permission.

Homeowner Confronts the Suspects

The homeowner reportedly confronted the two men and told them to leave the property. Instead of leaving, authorities said the pair remained at the residence.

The situation then became physical, leading to a struggle between the homeowner and the suspects.

Gunshot Fired During the Struggle

Authorities said the homeowner fired a gunshot during the confrontation. One of the suspects was reportedly grazed by the bullet.

The two men then allegedly ran from the area on foot.

Sheriff’s deputies searched for the suspects and later located them near Pinson Boulevard and an ALDI grocery store. Both men were taken into custody.

Charges Filed

The suspects were identified as Dylan Klein and Lester Eakes. According to authorities and jail records, Klein faced several charges, including second-degree burglary, harassment and driving under the influence.

The case remains a reminder that an alleged property intrusion can quickly become a dangerous situation when a confrontation escalates.

What began as an alleged attempt to enter a home without permission ended with a physical confrontation, a gunshot and two arrests.

Authorities are continuing to handle the case, while the allegations against the suspects remain part of the legal process.
