Now, Saltburn really made an impact when it first came out last year, not just for its incredible aesthetics or camera work, but for some extremely graphic scenes including a certain slurping bathtub scene that we’d rather not go into too much detail about right now.

It follows the story of a student at Oxford University who “finds himself drawn into the world of a charming and aristocratic classmate, who invites him to his eccentric family’s sprawling estate for a summer never to be forgotten,” as per its official IMDb description.

While the premise might sound like a whimsical and fun rom-com, that couldn’t be further from the truth but you have to watch it to be able to get the full viewer experience.

Anyway, one of the stars of the show responsible for some of the controversial things that go on, Barry Keoghan, recently appeared on Louis Theroux’s podcast where he delved into detail about the making of the scenes, in particular the iconic nude dance scene.

After Theroux mentioned some people had speculated whether or not Keoghan might have had a “prosthetic penis,” and that his manhood had been “enhanced,” the Irish star responded: “Wait, enhanced? Who said that?” before adding, “Nah… Wow.

“It was all me, you know… it was a thing that I didn’t really bat an eyelid to, you know, I would bat an eyelid if it didn’t fit the story,” he told the host, clearly proud of his equipment.

He then spoke about the making of the scene, explaining that there was a distinct impression they wanted to give off.

“I remember me and Emerald [Fennell, the director] having the chats and it started off with my clothes… she was like, ‘We just need to make it a bit more ownership.’ He’s kind of got this mansion at the end. It’s his space. And when you have that space… we all do it at home. We walk around naked, do you know what I mean? Because we’re comfy and this is our environment,” the actor explained.

While one would assume the 32-year-old would have been more nervous about having to flaunt his genitals for millions to see, instead, he was more concerned about his dance moves.

“So they said, ‘Maybe it’s better if you’re naked?’ ” Theroux joked about his dancing in the scene.

“Yeah, we got to that place… my hesitation was the dancing. I don’t like dancing, you know,” Keoghan said.

However, he stressed that he wasn’t completely against it.

“If it’s required… weirdly, when it’s the character, again, [it’s] this kind of thing of, when it’s not you, you’ll do it,” he told the host, adding that it makes sense if “it moves the script and the story forward.”

“But yeah, I don’t like dancing,” Keoghan added.

In a previous interview with Vanity Fair, the Dunkirk alum also addressed whether or not he felt “objectified” by the amount of sexual jokes that came as a result of the provocative scenes in the movie.

“It’s crazy,” Keoghan told the outlet. “It can be detrimental to the mind and your mental state if you read into it too much or you look at too much stuff being said.”

“I wouldn’t go there if I wasn’t prepared for that, or if I wasn’t open to receiving what people want to say,” he added.
