Last month, Davidson surprised his fans when he attended an event at The Room at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles with his friend, Machine Gun Kelly.
Photos from the event showed Davidson’s tattoo removal progress, with his arms looking noticeably clear as he sported a short-sleeved shirt.
Davidson made his return to SNL on Saturday (2 November) in a musical sketch alongside guest host John Mulaney.
The comedian and actor, who was a staple on Saturday Night Live from 2014 to 2022, surprised viewers with this recent appearance.
One of the skits, titled ‘Port Authority Duane Reade,’ had Mulaney and Andrew Dismukes shopping in a Duane Reade store.
Davidson appeared in the comedic bit wearing a white Rodney Dangerfield t-shirt, with his arms exposed.
The change was striking, especially since Davidson once had more than 100 tattoos.
He has previously discussed wanting to remove some of his tattoos and revealed he had started the process during an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers in May 2021.
“For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much.”
Davidson shared an update on his tattoo removal journey with People Magazine in July 2021, noting that he hoped to have the process finished by the time he turned 30.
Davidson, who turned 30 last year, has been seen in public more recently, and his tattoo-free appearance suggests that the treatment has worked as planned.
