Billie Eilish reneged on her pledge that fans would “never see” one of her tattoos as she flaunted it while enjoying the sunshine.

Eilish, 21, now has at least three tattoos after initially disclosing her plans to have one in 2017. At the time, she vowed not to get any “face tattoos.”

“The only tattoos I wanna get are the ones that barely anyone can see,” she told Vanity Fair at the time.

In 2021, Eilish announced she has since had two more permanent pieces of art inked on her body.

The previous year, she revealed that she had carried out her plans and undergone the needle.

The singer didn’t quite follow through with her goal to obtain tattoos that “barely anyone can see,” since one was prominently displayed on the side of her hand.

The illustration of some fairies in that particular work of art was inspired by a book called Fairyopolis that Eilish owned when she was a child.

“They’re like my little guardian angel fairies,” the singer said.

Her first tattoo, which she promised to cover up, is a “big boy” dragon that she has on her waist and showed off on Instagram.

When she admitted to getting her first tattoo in 2018, she said: “I did get a tattoo, but you won’t ever see it.”

Not until a few years later did Eilish provide more information about the tattoo, stating that it is situated in the center of her ribcage and bears the word “Eilish” on it.

“Yes, I love myself,” she said.

Because of the tattoo’s position, it would generally be hidden from view by clothing, but admirers were able to see the design thanks to a photo posted by Eilish’s friend Annabel Zimmer, the daughter of film composer Hans Zimmer.

Eilish, who can be seen in the snap grinning and tilting her head toward the sun, was with Annabel as they enjoyed some lovely weather.

The tattoo was barely visible behind the string of her bikini since she was wearing sunglasses and pulling her hair back.

Although the image is not quite the clearest, it may be the best fans will see following Eilish’s commitment.

It’s just about possible to make out the pointed letters of her name etched in black over her flesh, according to an earlier Rolling Stone report. The tattoo is reportedly drawn in an “ornate, gothic font.”
