Olympic Champion Turns Up At Son’s School And Destroys Every Single Parent In 100m Race

Do you ever have those moments when you think you’re doing pretty well at something, only to realize there are people out there who are actual pros and could easily put you in the shade?Maybe it’s a home-cooked meal that you proudly share on Instagram, or lifting heavier weights at the gym.

But then, all it takes is a visit to a gourmet restaurant or seeing some pro weightlifters in action to remember—you’re still just one of the rest of us.

And there’s nothing wrong with that! But it’s a humbling experience, no doubt.A perfect example of this happened at a school’s sports day, where parents were invited to join in a race with their kids.

These races are usually all about fun, right? But there’s always that one parent who lets their competitive side take over.

Well, competitive or not, there was only ever going to be one winner in this particular race. One of the parents stepping up to the starting line was none other than Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, the Jamaican track and field superstar.

Shelly-Ann has not just one or two Olympic medals, but three Olympic golds, four silvers, and a whopping 10 world champion titles.

It’s safe to say the race wasn’t a nail-biterInstagram/@_ammago_

She competes in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay events, and oh yeah, she’s also a proud mom to her son, Zyon.

When Shelly-Ann attended her son’s school sports day, she decided to get involved in the parents’ race.Spoiler alert: it wasn’t even close. She took off like a rocket, leaving everyone else far behind.

The race was caught on camera by Instagram user Amelia Gordon, showing Shelly-Ann effortlessly speeding down the 100m track, with an enormous gap between her and the next closest parent.

Afterward, Shelly-Ann took to Facebook to share a picture of her prize from the race, joking, “I feel like I’ve been waiting all my life for this moment.”

She explained that she hadn’t actually planned to compete. But when push came to shove, she couldn’t resist the urge to bring home a win for her family.

“As an Olympian, it just didn’t make sense for us to leave without bringing home a single piece of gold, so I decided to race,” she said.

She added that the family ended up with “two bronze medals, overall 4th place, a participation medal, and a first place medal in the women’s parent race to redeem the Pryce family name.”

Shelly-Ann also expressed how proud she was of her son, and fans had a great time laughing about the situation.

“They should have been given a 20-meter head start. Just to make it interesting. Lol,” one person commented.
