The movie, titled The Deep House, focuses on a young influencer couple searching for haunted houses.

They discover that a well maintained family home is located “deep below the surface of a seemingly tranquil remote lake.”However, as one might expect with a house submerged underwater, they soon discovered the presence of an evil force.

They also have a limited oxygen supply and time on their side, so they need to discover a way out of the submerged house before it’s “too late.”Are you holding your breath already? Me too.

Despite being three years old, the film has lately been debated on social media, with one viewer even going so far as to advise others to “not watch [it] alone.”Since then, more people have reviewed The Deep House. On Facebook, someone wrote: “I really liked this movie.”

Someone else warned: “My anxiety for closed spaces and deep water went up while watching this last year.”As of this writing, Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer gives The Deep House an astounding 74 percent score.

‘An spooky, otherworldly atmosphere and an exhilarating new twist to the haunted home’ is how one of the site’s top critics put The Deep house, describing it as a ‘unique underwater supernatural horror that gives a wonderful spin on a standard haunted house scenario’.

However, it should be mentioned that not all of the reviews have been positive.

Just 32% of people have given the horror film an Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes, with one reviewer calling it “one of the worst movies I’ve seen in my life.”

Another reviewer rated it 1.5 stars and stated: “I gave it an extra star because it was underwater which was the only interesting thing about it.” Ouch.

The Deep House is presently available for viewing on Prime Video if you’d want to experience the movie for yourself and form your own conclusions.
