Hawk Tuah Girl Surprises Everyone With Her Shocking DNA Test Results

The Hawk Tuah girl has gained fame in quite an unusual way, but recently, on a podcast, she discovered something surprising about her heritage that left everyone in the room amazed. And no, I’m not talking about which part of the U.S. she’s from, her unmistakable southern Tennessee accent makes that clear.

What I’m referring to is her ethnic background, or more precisely, where her ancestors originally came from.Yep, we’ve reached that point in the viral story.

It’s not enough to know where the Hawk Tuah girl is from in the U.S, now we need to dig deeper and find out more about her ancestry.

Hailey Welch, which is her real name, was thrilled to learn about her roots, and the rest of the people in the room were equally excited.

In late July, Welch appeared as a guest on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast. During the show, she and host Howie Mandel were talking about her DNA test results.

Mandel was joined by his co-host and daughter Jackelyn Shultz, as well as comedian Michael Blaustein.

When the results came in, the room erupted in laughter and jokes.

It turns out that Welch is 97.7 percent Ashkenazi Jewish.

The rest of her ancestry is made up of 0.2 percent Eastern European, 1.7 percent broadly European, 0.2 percent Siberian, and 0.1 percent broadly East Asian.

Shultz joked, “You are in a room full of Jews,” while Blaustein added, “Are you scared?” He also quipped, “Welcome to Hollywood.”

Welch responded with, “Yes, I tried Katz Deli when I was in New York – it was really good. I’m on top of the world!”

The group kept making jokes about the results, with Mandel even suggesting that “Hawk Tuah” might be a Yiddish word.

Now, I’m not sure about that, but my Yiddish isn’t exactly perfect either.

Who would have guessed that one viral moment and a couple of simple sounds could make such a splash?

Instead of shying away from her newfound fame, Welch embraced it, and many people have admired her for that.

In a new clip on Twitter, she explained, “Along the way I realized that everybody’s entitled to their own opinion. Well now, it’s my time to talk.”

Welch also announced her new podcast, which she has cleverly named ‘Talk Tuah.’

“I’m sitting down with the coolest guests and having actual conversations with them,” she said.

It looks like she’s making the best of her situation.

When life gives you lemons, it seems Hawk Tuah knows how to make the most of them.
