Conor McGregor made a drastic decision immediately after Jake Paul beat Mike Perry.
Paul dropped Perry in the first round before scoring a knockout in the sixth round of their showdown last night.
He improved his professional boxing record to 10-1 following his latest victory over yet another former UFC fighter.
Current UFC star McGregor wasted no time in reacting to Paul’s win over Perry as he took to social media to announce a major decision.
McGregor, who is part of the ownership group at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, ‘released’ Perry from the promotion.
On X, he wrote: “Hey Mike youre [sic] released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired. @bareknucklefc.”
Explaining his decision, the Irishman added: “Perry took a pay cut to take that fight btw. It was a wish of his. Astounding. He will not be offered a return to the bkfc ring. He can do a few matches of his new dirty boxing thing with the mma sparring gloves he has set up. We wish him well. Wish granted.”
Perry, 32, has made a name for himself in BKFC following his UFC departure.
He has five big wins to his name under the Bare Knuckle banner, including victories over ex-UFC champions Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez.
But, according to McGregor, ‘Platinum’ has been ‘fired’.

Paul caught wind of McGregor’s tweet as he spoke out on his rival’s decision during his post-fight press conference.
“That’s f**ked up that he fired your BKFC champion,” he said. “I told you that was going to happen. I told you exactly what was going to happen.”
‘The Problem Child’ added: “He was big upping his boy Mike Perry – I said, ‘OK Conor, after I f**k up Mike Perry, then you’re next’.
“So, Conor’s on Twitter all the time. He’s on his yacht all the time. Guess where he’s not? In the ring, fighting me.
“So, he can talk all the f**k he wants, but The Notorious MMA is scared of Jake Joseph Paul from Disney channel. And I put that on my mama.”
