Passengers Left Speechless After X-Rated Movie Is Played On Every Screen During Flight

And to make matters worse, it supposedly took the airline ‘almost an hour’ to realize the mistake.

Lately, you might have heard the term ‘raw-dogging’ being tossed around when it comes to flights, even if you didn’t really want to.

But imagine this scenario: you’re all settled in on a plane, and suddenly you’re forced to watch a movie with ‘graphic nudity.’
You can’t switch the channel, and there’s no way to ‘turn it off.’

Not the best in-flight experience, right?

Well, according to reports, that’s exactly what happened on Qantas flight QF59.

The flight was travelling from Sydney, Australia, to Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan, yesterday (October 5).

A Reddit user named u/MariKontan shared their experience in the r/QantasAirways thread.

They mentioned that the ‘in-flight entertainment system was down’ on the flight.

And ‘after a one-hour delay, the pilot decided to take off anyway, but the only option left was for the crew to play a movie on every screen’.

Let’s be real for a second—choosing the right entertainment for everyone is no easy task. We’ve all been in that situation where someone hands over the aux cord, and suddenly you have to pick a song that’ll please everyone.

There’s a lot of pressure and not everyone will agree with your choice.

But for the Qantas crew, the decision was even trickier.

All screens were allegedly playing the same movieGetty Images

According to the Reddit user, the film ‘was impossible to pause, dim or turn […] off’ once it started playing.

So, they were stuck with whatever was on.

Unfortunately, the movie that ended up on the screens wasn’t exactly family-friendly.

In fact, it was the kind of film that definitely wasn’t meant for young eyes.

The passenger on the flight went on to say: “Here’s the kicker: the movie they played was extremely inappropriate.

It featured graphic nudity and a lot of sexting – the kind where you could literally read the texts on screen without needing headphones.

“It took almost an hour of this before they switched to a more kid-friendly movie, but it was super uncomfortable for everyone, especially with families and kids onboard.”

They even shared three images of ‘the scenes’ from the film.

Though the images only showed the sexting parts and not the nudity, it still felt like a repeat of the original problem.

These images showed texts that were definitely of a sexual nature.

They talked about body parts, what they wanted to do, and how it made them feel—basically, nothing you’d want to see on a family flight.

The Reddit user then asked a valid question: “How is this acceptable for a major airline? Has anyone else had something like this happen?”

It didn’t take long for others to jump into the conversation.

One person chimed in, saying: “Wtaf lol. I believe this is the flight attendant version of ‘flipping over your desk and dramatically storming out’ on your last shift.”

Another added: “A single movie played to the whole plane? What year is it?”

A third user commented: “Bruh why wouldn’t you just put on Shrek?”

And another person pointed out: “That is actually insane, like surely when you get the list of movies available you choose the least likely to offend. Like Finding Nemo or Despicable Me. How do you choose a movie that’s for mature audiences? Bizarre, definitely worth Qantas getting big questions about.”

Responding to the situation, a spokesperson for Qantas Airways told UNILAD: “The movie was clearly not suitable to play for the whole flight and we sincerely apologise to customers for this experience. All screens were changed to a family-friendly movie for the rest of the flight, which is our standard practice for the rare cases where individual movie selection isn’t possible. We are reviewing how the movie was selected.”
