Terrifying Simulation Reveals What Happens To Your Body If A Whale Swallows You

Great, here’s another reason to be afraid of the vast ocean.A new simulation has shown what would happen if you were unlucky enough to be swallowed whole by a sperm whale.

Usually, when it comes to the ocean, besides fearing mythical creatures like Cthulhu, most people worry about animals like sharks. That makes sense.

Who wants to be dragged beneath the waves and torn apart, or even just have a few chunks bitten off?
But if you’re compiling a list of irrational fears, a simulation of what happens when you’re swallowed by a sperm whale might be a strong contender.Sure, running into a sperm whale – a creature found in deep oceans from the equator to the icy edges of the Arctic and Antarctica while you’re swimming is pretty unlikely.

Still, it’s probably good to be prepared, right? If you’re unfortunate enough to be swallowed by this ocean giant, it would likely spell a pretty grim end for you.

A video showing this simulation was shared on the Zackdfilms YouTube channel and has got people swearing to stay out of the ocean for the foreseeable future. You can check it out below:

The narrator explains: “If you were swallowed by a sperm whale you would be squeezed down its massive throat.”

“You’d continue down its esophagus and into a series of stomach chambers that are filled with digestive acids.”

This sounds as horrible as it seems.

The simulation uses a dummy with a permanent screaming face to drive the point home. How charming.

The narrator adds: “These acids would immediately start breaking down your body.”

“But even if you managed to avoid the acid, the lack of air inside the whale would quickly cause you to suffocate.”

Honestly, I don’t know how Jonah managed it.

People online have commented about how terrifying this simulation is.

One person said, “Bro I swear this channel gives me unlocking phobias.”

Another added, “What makes it scarier is that there’s no light and the smell.”

“Whenever you try to ask for help, no one would hear you and you would just rot there.”

“This is ACTUALLY traumatizing, not just a slightly weird animation,” remarked another.

Interestingly, a real-life person experienced something similar and lived to tell the tale.

In 2021, Massachusetts lobster diver Michael Packard was accidentally scooped up into the mouth of a humpback whale while diving.

Fortunately, he wasn’t subjected to the gruesome fate in the animation and was spat out just seconds later.
