During the near-three-hour interview, Rogan and the Republican presidential nominee discussed a number of topics, including North Korea, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Trump’s ear injury following an assassination attempt back in July.
The interview has since amassed more than 37 million views on YouTube, proving to be a successful pre-election day appearance for Trump.
However, it also comes as quite a surprise to Rogan’s fans, as he had previously refused to interview Trump, saying back in 2022 on the Lex Fridman Podcast: “I am not a Trump supporter in any way shape or form […] I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once, I’ve said ‘no’ every time.
“I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

However, as we’ve seen – anything can happen.
During his interview with Trump, Rogan expressed a keen interest in also having Kamala Harris on the show. “She was supposed to do it, and she might still do it, and I hope she does,” Rogan said, adding: “I think we’d have a fine conversation.”
On Tuesday (October 29), a week before election day, Rogan has offered an update on why an interview with Harris has not yet taken place.
The podcast host claimed that Harris’ campaign team did want to go ahead with an interview, but had certain demands that he wasn’t willing to bend to – such as a time limit and location.
“For the record the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast,” he explained in a tweet on X. “They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour.
“I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin.
“My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen.”

In response to Rogan’s comments, one person wrote: “America deserves 3 unscripted hours of Kamala with you in Austin. You would be fair and balanced.”
Another added: “Trump did it on your terms. Which was fair. Harris should also.”
During Rogan’s interview with Trump, the former president mocked the idea of his political rival appearing on the podcast, saying: “Can you imagine Kamala doing this show? She’d be laying on the floor…
“…I hope she does, because it would be a mess. She’d be laying on the floor comatose. You’d be saying, ‘Call in the medics.'”

“I think I’d be able to talk to her,” Rogan replied. “I wouldn’t try to interview her, I’d just try to have a conversation with her, and hopefully get to know her as a human being.”
“That was my goal [in] having her on, trying to get her to express herself, just as a human [being]”.
