Known as the People’s Princess because of her nurturing and compassionate nature, as well as love for the ordinary citizens, Lady Di will forever be remembered as the woman who changed Britain and the Monarchy.
This amazing Princess became famous when she got engaged to Prince Charles, who is the oldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and the next in line for the British throne. From the moment people found out about her, she was always in the public eye. The paparazzi tracked her every step, and many believe that their constant attention contributed to her tragic end.

Diana’s engagement ring is different from the other royal rings because it wasn’t custom made. Instead, it was a 12-carat sapphire surrounded by 14 single diamonds in white gold, and it was chosen from a catalog by Garrard jewelry. After Diana passed away, the ring was given to Kate Middleton when Prince William proposed to her with it.
On her wedding day, Diana was so excited and even confused that she called her future husband Philip Charles Arthur George instead of just Charles Philip.
According to her brother Charles Spencer, Diana had a hard time wearing the tiara at the beginning because it caused her headaches.

After the wedding happened, it was revealed to everyone that Charles and Diana were related. They both had a common ancestor, Henry VII from the Tudor family, making them 16th cousins once removed.
Charles and Diana are photographed on their honeymoon. A lip reader said at the time that during their conversation, the newlyweds said, “The honeymoon was the ideal time to catch up on sleep…”
