The basketball icon travels in style with a custom-built Gulfstream 650ER private jet
Travelling in style has to be one of the benefits of being a celebrity, especially when you’re not slumming it in economy anymore.
Yet, there’s something to be said for reaching the high level of celebrity net worth where you can casually drop $70 million on your own private jet to travel in pure comfort.
Basketball player Michael B. Jordan has done just that, splashing out a further $500,000 on a custom paint job to truly make it his own and, I mean, it clearly stands out on the runway.

The Gulfstream 650ER private jet is 100 feet long and can carry 19 passengers as well as four crew members on board.
The 650ER is also known for its speed and, according to its website, it holds the record for the furthest fastest flight in business aviation history.
While on board, there’s certainly no struggling for leg room or being squished, as the luxury interiors mean you can lounge on leather seating, enjoy five star service, and take advantage of a fully-stocked bar.
The jet even has a private bedroom so Michael can fight off jetlag properly by getting his head down in style. No snoozing with his head against the window here for this ‘G.O.A.T’ of basketball.
The additional extras Michael has paid out for include getting the jet custom paint wrapped with a black and silver elephant theme that also pays homage to his trademark sneakers.
The iconic Jumpman logo, Michael Jordan’s collaboration with Nike, is also featured on the tail of the plane in white.

He’s even had the jet’s tail number customised with a personalised ‘N236MJ’ named after his number 23 jersey and the fact that he’s won six championship rings in his glittering career.
Michael Jordan isn’t the only private jet loving celebrity, as Taylor Swift has also been known for her use of travelling in style.
Last year during her blossoming romance with NFL player Travis Kelce, Swift clocked up some serious miles as she flew to support him and the Kansas City Chiefs during their games.
She even flew back from performing her world tour in Japan to make it in time to watch the team win the Super Bowl.

Swift has been heavily criticised for her use of private jets, with Instagram account ‘Taylor Swifts Jets’ taking to its platform to claim the singer-songwriter produced 138 tons of CO2 in three months, jetting around the globe between stops on her Eras Tour, as well as dropping by to catch Kelce’s NFL games.
The journeys were reported as having used 12,622 gallons of jet fuel, calculated to be worth a whopping $70,779.
A representative of Swift told UNILAD at the time: “Before the tour kicked off in March of 2023, Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel.
“The excess credits means Taylor could have accounted for more than enough to cover her latest romance springing up in the middle of her sell-out tour, with her trips to support Kelce upping her carbon emissions alongside her planned tour travels.”
