Melinda Gates has finally spoken out following the publication of the most recent Epstein documents, which allege that her former husband, Bill Gates, intended to administer antibiotics to her after contracting an STD – the “consequences of sexual encounters with Russian women” and “illicit affairs,” as claimed by the serial rapist.
On January 30, the U.S. Department of Justice unveiled its most comprehensive release to date under the Epstein Transparency Act – comprising over 3 million pages of documents, 180,000 images, and 2,000 videos linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s network.
This release has caused a global stir, with notable figures such as Elon Musk, Richard Branson, and President Donald Trump being mentioned in relation to the late financier’s extensive connections.
Among the most examined aspects of the document collection are the allegations involving billionaire philanthropists, Bill Gates, 70, and his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, 61.
Gates and Epstein
The couple divorced in 2021 after 27 years of marriage, amid reports of infidelity and Melinda’s unease regarding her husband’s interactions with Epstein, whom the Microsoft co-founder first encountered in 2011.
As reported by the New York Times, Epstein was involved in discussions with both the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and JPMorgan Chase about the creation of a multibillion-dollar charitable fund – a venture that could have yielded him significant fees.

Gates, who maintained that his association with the convicted pedophile was restricted to ‘a few dinners’ that led nowhere, acknowledged in a 2025 interview with The Wall Street Journal that his discussions with Epstein were ‘a significant error.’
‘Upon reflection, I was unwise to spend any time with him. He managed to gain access to various individuals by associating with others,’ Gates informed the WSJ, as reported by People. ‘So indeed, I believe I acted quite foolishly. I thought it would assist me in global health philanthropy. In reality, it did not; it was merely a considerable mistake.’
‘Illicit encounters’ and STDs
However, the newly released documents challenge Gates’ assertions that his connection with the late Epstein was limited to ‘a few dinners.’
Among the latest document release are two unsent emails from Epstein’s own account, dated July 18, 2013, and seemingly composed by Epstein himself. While it remains uncertain whether they were ever sent to Gates, both messages are unsigned and were sent from Epstein to himself.
In one email addressed to ‘Bill,’ dated July 18, 2023, Epstein stated, ‘…you [then] urge me to kindly delete the emails concerning your STD, your request for me to provide you antibiotics that you can superstitiously give to Melinda, and the description of your penis.’
In another email drafted on the same day, approximately one hour later, Epstein, who took his own life in 2019, wrote: ‘In recent weeks, I have found myself embroiled in a serious marital conflict between Melinda and Bill. I hold the utmost respect for my friend of seven years and wish them both the best.’
‘In my capacity as his right-hand man, I had been asked on numerous occasions and, in hindsight, regrettably acquiesced to participating in activities that ranged from morally questionable to ethically unsound, and I had been repeatedly solicited to engage in other actions that approached, and potentially crossed, the line into illegality.’
The message went on, ‘From assisting Bill in obtaining drugs to manage the repercussions of sexual encounters with Russian women, to facilitating…
‘Unbelievable sadness’
On February 3, Melinda French Gates discussed the matter during an interview with NPR, recognizing the distressing reemergence of what she referred to as “very, very painful times” in her marriage.
“For me, it’s personally challenging whenever those details arise, right? Because it evokes memories of some very, very painful times in my marriage,” she stated.
“Whatever questions linger regarding what – I can’t even begin to comprehend all of it – those inquiries are for those individuals and for even my ex-husband. They are the ones who need to address those matters, not me.”
Reflecting on her “unbelievable sadness,” she articulated that despite her own marital difficulties, her heart goes out more to the young girls who suffered abuse at the hands of Epstein and his network.
“I’m able to channel my own sadness and focus on those young girls and think, my God, how did that happen to those girls?” she remarked, adding, “At least for me, I’ve managed to move forward in life, and I hope there’s some justice for those now-women.”
