Agency Responds After Park Bom Reportedly Filed A $4,500,000,000,000,000 Lawsuit
After the story began spreading online, the singer’s current talent agency released an official statement to clear up the situation.
Bom, who was once part of the world-famous K-pop group 2NE1, shared what appeared to be details of a lawsuit on social media earlier this week, allegedly targeting Yang Hyun-suk, the founder of YG Entertainment.
In her Instagram post, Bom uploaded a picture of what looked like an official legal document, listing her name as the plaintiff and Yang Hyun-suk as the defendant.
The post claimed she was suing him for an unbelievable sum — 64,272,000,000,000,000 won, an amount so huge it immediately drew attention worldwide.
The document oddly described the lawsuit as being worth “100,200,300,400,600,700,100,000,34 ‘642,72e trillion won” — roughly $4.5 quadrillion — making it one of the strangest figures fans had ever seen in a celebrity post.
The post has since been deleted, but not before it went viral across fan forums and news outlets. Her agency, D-Nation, quickly stepped in with a public response to calm the growing speculation.
In a statement shared on Instagram, D-Nation clarified: “The settlement related to Park Bom’s 2NE1 activities has already been completed, and the complaint uploaded on social media has not been received. Park Bom has suspended all activities and is currently focusing on treatment and recovery.”
The controversy comes only a year after 2NE1 reunited under YG Entertainment to celebrate their 15th anniversary, marking an emotional return for both the group and their fans.
Their original four members — CL (Lee Chae-rin), Sandara Park, Gong Min-ji (Minzy), and Bom — came back together for the Welcome Back Tour, which ran from October 2024 through April 2025 and drew massive crowds across Asia and beyond.
In August, however, D-Nation confirmed that Park Bom would not be joining future 2NE1 performances after medical professionals advised her to take an extended break to focus on rest and recovery.
After Minzy’s departure, the group eventually split, releasing their farewell song “Goodbye” in 2017, leaving a lasting mark on K-pop history.
