Private Investigator Says Croissant Emoji Could Be A Sign Your Partner Is Cheating

A private investigator has revealed that if your partner uses these emojis often, it could mean they are cheating.

In the world of technology, cheating and subsequently getting away with cheating are as easy as pushing a button.

Social media makes it simple to keep in contact with others, but it also provides new opportunities for people to cheat on their significant others.

Although it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact number of people who’ve been cheated on, the BBC reports that around 70% of people cheat at some point in their lives.

Some research suggests that nearly one in five marriages experience infidelity.

People Cheating

The lines can often be blurred when it comes to cheating, but one private investigator says a particular emoji may be a sign that something is going on behind your back.

Paul Jones from ARF Private Investigators told The Sun that some may go to extreme lengths to cover their infidelity, but some more subtly.

When you think of cheating, you may often picture the communication over message to be racy, yet Jones says that some people are now using secret codes to avoid being caught.

The private investigator shared: “Over the past year, we’ve seen an increase in people using everyday symbols as a way to communicate without getting caught.”

Jones added that emojis may seem innocent enough, but can have a ‘deeper meaning’ to them.

He warned that often, if there’s a flurry of emojis, it may be a sign of something more sinister.

Cheating Over Text

The investigator notes that the letter symbol can mean ‘Let me know when you’re free,’ and the spaghetti emoji he’s seen used before as ‘Let’s have dinner.’

The chili symbol is used in a flirtatious manner, often when talking about intimacy.

The monkey covers its eyes and stands for ‘see no evil,’ and can represent guilt or secrecy.

A padlock is a sign of a private or locked conversation.

One of the most bizarre symbols that is a sign of cheating is the croissant, seemingly innocent to some, yet the private investigator says it’s commonly used in cheating.

The French delicacy emoji is code for ‘Meet me for breakfast.’

Croissant Emoji

Jones shared that if you have the urge to check your partner’s phone, tap into their keyboard, the most used emojis will appear, and if any that may stick out to you as random, it could be a clear sign of cheating.

The private investigator also listed signs to look out for if you have that ‘gut feeling.’

He shared: “If your partner suddenly starts hiding their phone, keeping conversations short, or you notice new contacts with strange names or emojis, that’s when you should start asking questions.”
