The twins who played Emma in the classic sitcom Friends are now all grown up – and everyone’s saying the same thing.
Even though the last episode of Friends aired almost 20 years ago, the show has stayed near and dear to our hearts.
Nearly two decades later, we’re still watching the sitcom, and it really holds up!
But another reason for Friends still remaining in our collective conscience has to be the way the actors from the show still reference it on their social media.
However, the award for the best Friends-related social media post has to go to Noelle Sheldon.
The actress is one of the twins who played Ross and Rachel’s daughter, Emma.
But now, she’s all grown up – and everyone is making the same joke about her!
Noelle played Emma Geller-Green, alongside her identical twin sister Cali.
The pair are now 21 – which makes us feel incredibly ancient.
You may also recognise the duo for their roles in Jordan Peele’s 2019 horror movie, Us, in which they played twins Lindsey and Becca Tyler.
The storyline revolves around Emma’s first-ever birthday party – but hilarity ensues when the sleepy baby won’t wake up from her nap.
This is particularly irritating for her aunt and uncle, Monica and Chandler, who want to leave the kiddie birthday party and head off on a romantic getaway in Vermont.
During the party, parents Ross and Rachel are making a home video for Emma to watch on her 18th birthday.
But a disgruntled Chandler takes to the camera to make the joke: “Hi Emma, it’s the year 2020. Are you still enjoying your nap?”
And in 2020, Noelle Sheldon took to Instagram to respond to Chandler’s joke in an absolutely hilarious way.
She posted: “Just woke up from the best nap of all time, happy 2020!! (ft. my poorly done Photoshop) Hope everyone has an excellent year full of family, friends, and laughter!!”
Noelle also posted a photoshopped image of herself in the cafe Central Perk which Friends made famous.
One person commented on how spookily familiar she looks, writing: “It’s wild how you actually look like you could be Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer’s child as an adult in this picture!”
Since the post, everyone has been making the same joke about Emma’s mythical ‘wakeup’.
One joked: “Emma it’s the year 2020… are you still enjoying your nap?”
Another laughed: “About time you woke up from that nap Emma!”
A third wrote: “Maybe everything in 2020 happened cause Emma woke from her nap. GO BACK TO SLEEP!”
Another commenter referred to another, slightly less heartwarming joke from the episode.
“How’s your uncle Joey?” one asked, referencing Joey’s realisation that he could hit on Emma’s future 18-year-old friends via her birthday video.
