Do you find yourself waking up every night between 3 and 5 am? This could mean you are experiencing a spiritual awakening.

Many people struggle to adopt habits that could improve their sleep quality, leading them to feel tired and irritable instead of refreshed when they wake up.

In reality, a lot of individuals wake up several times during the night without even realizing it because they quickly drift back to sleep. Some of these awakenings last only a second, while others are longer and make it hard for the person to fall asleep again.

If you are one of these individuals, it’s important to identify what triggers your awakenings and how to stop them from happening repeatedly.

These awakenings might be linked to the sleep cycle, which transitions from wakefulness to sleep, light sleep, deep sleep, and REM sleep. REM, or rapid eye movement, is the stage of sleep where we tend to dream the most. These REM cycles become more frequent as morning approaches.

Some people think this is related to aging, while others attribute it to sleep apnea.

However, it turns out that there’s another reason why some people wake up between 3 and 5 am. It’s thought that during this time, a mysterious phenomenon known as the ‘Witching Hour’ takes place. This suggests that you might feel some strange energy around you, or what’s referred to as the “awakening.”

Based on ancient Chinese beliefs about Qi Energy, the body’s energy meridians are linked to a clock-like system that energizes different body parts at various times throughout the day. Therefore, waking up during this specific time each night could indicate that the energy in certain areas of your body, associated with those meridians, is either blocked or weak.

Additionally, during this period, the Meridian of Lungs, which is seen as the most ‘magical’ and is connected to the feeling of freedom, gets activated.

Another meridian that gets activated at this hour is the Meridian of Large Intestine, which plays a key role in our body’s detoxification process.

If you find yourself waking up during these hours, it’s worth considering if there’s something troubling you that your meridian might be trying to alert you about.
