‘American Idol’ exec and husband found dead in suspected double homicide – Dotnetal

Robin Kaye, who was a famous music supervisor for American Idol, has been found dead with her husband, Thomas Deluca. Police are looking into it as a double homicide. They were discovered in their home in Encino on Monday after the LAPD did a welfare check.

According to law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ, the officers who responded to the call saw blood near the front door. Since they couldn’t reach anyone inside, they broke a window to get in, where they found Robin and Thomas dead from what looked like gunshot wounds.

The couple was declared dead at the scene. This case is being treated as a double murder, but there aren’t many details available, and no suspects have been arrested yet.

The welfare check was said to be requested by family members who hadn’t heard from Robin and Thomas in four days. It’s not clear who made the call. While they were there, police told the neighbors about the lack of communication.

The surprising find happened just a few days after the police had already been called to the house. Last Thursday, someone reported seeing a person trying to break in. An unknown suspect was said to be trying to get inside and might have had a gun, according to TMZ.

Neighbors told the police they saw someone jumping over the fence. Officers came and looked around the property but didn’t find any signs of forced entry. A police helicopter also searched the area but didn’t find anything.

Right now, it’s not clear if the Thursday event is linked to the couple’s murder. Investigators are checking surveillance videos, but so far, no one has been arrested. Interestingly, the house doesn’t seem to have been messed up.

Robin Kaye had a long and impressive career in television. She worked as the music supervisor on American Idol for at least 15 seasons, according to her IMDb page, and won multiple awards at the Guild of Music Supervisors Awards for her work on the show. Her experience also includes music supervision for Lip Sync Battle and several other big productions, as reported by Sky News.

Her death has shocked many in the entertainment industry. Known for her great ear and creative ideas, Kaye helped create the sound of some of the most popular TV music shows in recent years.

As the investigation goes on, police are asking anyone with information to step forward. For now, friends and coworkers are left to grieve a huge loss and wait for answers.
