Rebel Wilson Opens Up About Losing Her Virginity At 35 Years Old

Rebel Wilson has revealed that she lost her virginity at 35 years old, and now she’s encouraging others to not feel ‘pressured’.

The Pitch Perfect star, 44, doesn’t hold back in her upcoming memoir ‘Rebel Rising’ – which is a no-holds-barred look at her unconventional life, and it’s safe to say, her revelations are going viral.

But one in particular, about the story of how Wilson lost her virginity, has generated a lot of discussion…

Alongside her impressive movie career, Wilson’s personal life has also made the headlines.

The Senior Year star is currently engaged to fashion and jewellery designer Ramona Agruma.

The couple confirmed their relationship in 2022, with Wilson writing in an Instagram post: “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove.”

Later that year, the couple welcomed their first child together, via a surrogate – a baby girl named Royce Lillian.

And now, Wilson has opened up about losing her virginity at a later age, and the internet has had a lot to say about it…
“Nothing wrong with that!! I wish I waited!!” one fan writes.

Another agrees: “She’s sweet and holds out for the good things in life. Much respect.”

“That’s actually pretty commendable!” adds a third.

In her brand new book, the Isn’t It Romantic actress is opening up about her personal life.

The 44-year-old spoke about losing her virginity at a later age in an extract of her book she discussed with People.

“People can wait till they’re ready or wait till they’re a bit more mature,” Wilson tells the outlet.

“And I think that could be a positive message. You obviously don’t have to wait until you’re in your thirties like me, but you shouldn’t feel pressure as a young person.”

The Jojo Rabbit actress adds that in the past, she felt ’embarrassed’ about losing her virginity at a later age.

She recalls: “Normally I would just leave the room when the conversation was happening.

“And then the people that said, ‘Oh, at 24, it’s so late’. And then I’m sitting here thinking, ‘Oh my God, my number’s 35. What the hell? I’m going to look like the biggest loser’.”

But Wilson is now happy she was a ‘late bloomer’ and believes her romantic life could have turned out ‘very differently’ if not.

She believes that if she ‘had been born 20 years later’, she may have ‘explored’ her sexuality more.

“When I started opening myself up probably more after my father’s death and realising, oh, even though I’d seen marriage as a terrible thing and waste of time, I started opening myself up to that,” Wilson continues.

“And then only years later, meeting women and having feelings for a woman, and that, I just think it’s a sign of where society kind of was.”
