Jake Paul set to fight former UFC star BEFORE facing Mike Tyson
Jake Paul has a new opponent for July 20 following the Mike Tyson postponement.
Jake Paul has a NEW opponent for July 20 ahead of fighting Mike Tyson later in the year.
Paul was scheduled to face Mike Tyson on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
But their bout was postponed after the boxing legend suffered an ulcer scare on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.
The 57-year-old was told by doctors to lighten his training, forcing to cancel his summer showdown.
Paul vs. Tyson has been rescheduled for November 15, with the controversial fight to go on despite the widespread condemnation from fans and critics alike.
‘The Problem Child’, however, will return to action on July 20 before meeting Tyson towards the end of the year.
According to sources close to Happy Punch, Paul is set to face Mike Perry.
Former UFC star Perry had 15 fights inside the famed Octagon before walking away from the promotion.
He fought the likes of Daniel Rodriguez, Tim Means, Geoff Neal, Paul Felder and Santiago Ponzinibbio in his UFC career.
But the 32-year-old has shot to fame under the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship banner, where he has become the promotion’s biggest star.
He’s 5-0 in bare knuckle and boasts victories over former UFC champions Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez.
Perry has also beaten Michael ‘Venom’ Page in BKFC and most recently stopped Thiago Alves in a contest that lasted just one minute.
‘Platinum’, though, is 0-1 in pro boxing, having lost to Kenneth McNeil.
He’s set to have his second pro boxing bout against Paul on July 20.

As for Paul, he hasn’t fought since his victory over Ryan Bourland last March.
The 27-year-old will be looking to claim his 10th victory of his pro career when he takes on Perry.
And after his July 20 bout, the YouTuber-turned-boxer will face Tyson.
In a statement announcing their rescheduled clash, the former world heavyweight champion said: “Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly. I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties.
“While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out. On Friday, November 15, watch this in-person at AT&T Stadium or live on Netflix.”
