Heard’s early years in Hollywood involved a series of small roles in television shows like Jack & Bobby (2004), The O.C. (2005), and in films such as Friday Night Lights (2004).
She followed this with supporting roles in films like Never Back Down (2008) and Pineapple Express (2008).
Heard’s breakthrough came in 2011 when she starred opposite Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary , a film based on Hunter S. Thompson’s novel.
This role not only brought her more recognition but also led to her relationship with Depp, which would later dominate media headlines.
It was her role as Mera in the DC Extended Universe, first appearing in Justice League (2017) and more prominently in Aquaman (2018), that solidified her status as a major Hollywood actress.

Her relationship with Johnny Depp, which began around 2011, became highly publicized.
The couple married in 2015, but their marriage quickly deteriorated.
In May 2016, Heard filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against Depp, accusing him of domestic abuse.
Depp denied the allegations, and the couple’s divorce was finalized in 2017 with a $7 million settlement, which Heard pledged to donate to charity.

In 2018, Heard wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post in which she discussed her experiences with domestic violence, although she did not name Depp.
This led to Depp suing Heard for defamation in 2019, claiming that the article had damaged his career and reputation.
Heard countersued, and the ensuing trial in 2022 became a global media spectacle.
The trial was marked by intense public scrutiny, with both Heard and Depp presenting conflicting accounts of their relationship.
The jury ultimately ruled in favor of Depp, awarding him $10 million in damages, while also awarding Heard $2 million in her countersuit.

Since then, she’s been keeping out of the spotlight.
However, she’s now making the headlines for an entirely new reason.
Dr. Julian De Silva, a leading Harley Street surgeon, has been analyzing Hollywood celebrities in order to determine who has the most ‘perfect’ facial features.
So it’s scientifically accurate, he’s been using the ‘Golden Ratio’ – which is a specific method used by ancient Greeks that involves looking at the measurements of the eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw, and facial shape.
Apparently, the Aquaman star’s face falls in line with this method by a whopping 91.85% by the Greek ratio of Phi, which is 1.618.
Dr De Silva, who runs a surgery clinic in London, tells Us Weekly: “The Phi ratio of 1.618 has long been thought to hold the secret for beauty, but now with the computer mapping we can calculate how it applies to real women.”
Using that same facial-scanning technology, the expert also discovered that Kim Kardashian has the most scientifically perfect eyebrows.
Actress Scarlett Johansson has the most scientifically perfect eyes and Emily Ratajkowski has the most scientifically perfect lips.

The surgeon also used a composite of celebrities – who are widely considered attractive – to create the most scientifically ‘perfect face.’
He used Heard’s nose, Kardashian’s eyebrows, Johansson’s eyes, Ratajkowski’s lips, Rihanna’s face shape, and Kate Moss’ forehead.
At the time the research was conducted, Kardashian came in second with a score of 91.39%.
Following the reality TV star came supermodel Moss, at 91.06%.
Meanwhile, Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner were fourth and fifth with 90.8 percent and 90.18 percent respectively.
Despite his research, Dr. De Silva insists that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as he comments that science only speaks from ‘objective measurements.’
For her part, Heard has shared her own philosophy on beauty with Harper’s Bazaar.
“Your beauty isn’t in how other people see you, it isn’t in some quality that you’re born with, something that happened to you or that you developed,” she shares.
“Ephemeral qualities are fleeting by their very nature. Find real beauty in that which you earn, which is harder to come by and accrue for yourself.”
