7-Eleven Employee Who Was Left Brain-dead After Manager ‘Sat On Her’ Has Died – The Hook news

A 7-Eleven employee who was left brain-dead after her manager ‘sat on her’ has sadly died.

24-year-old Jessica McLaughlin went to work as normal on June 24 but things took a dark turn. Her manager has been accused of attacking her, pulling her hair and putting her entire weight on McLaughlin at the California branch.

Jessica’s brother, Sean, shared: “She held her down, sat on top of her, and didn’t let her breathe,”. Adding “While some coworkers tried to help and stop it, they were attacked too. When she finally got free, she collapsed. She wasn’t breathing.”

Sean added that her colleagues tried to administer CPR and the female manager ‘ran to the back room to try and delete the security footage’.

Her family have accused the unnamed manager of running from the scene of the crime on her bike.

Sadly, Jessica died on July 2 after she was taken off her life support machine.

Her brother explained: “She has been kept alive on machines for the past couple of days. For all of these days, her mom Jasmine, her dad Clancey, our brother Anthony, step dad Albert, faithful boyfriend Adrian, sister Linda and I — along with so many friends and family — stayed by her side, hoping, praying for some kind of miracle.

“But the damage from the lack of oxygen was too much. Her brain had stopped functioning. After getting second opinions and doing everything we could, we have to make the impossible decision to let her go.”

The LAPD arrived at the scene where they found Jessica unconscious and lying on the floor.

They released a statement which read: “Preliminary information indicated that two women became involved in a verbal dispute inside the business that escalated into a physical confrontation,”.

“Investigators have obtained video evidence of the incident but are not releasing it at this time.”

7-Eleven have since shared a statement to media: “Our hearts are with those impacted during this difficult time. The suspect has been terminated, and we continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement in their investigation.”

Heartbreaking, RIP.
