People Left ‘Terrified’ After Men Drop GoPro Into ‘Deepest Pit In U.S.A.’

People have been left ‘terrified’ after a group of men dropped a GoPro into the ‘deepest pit in the U.S.A.‘, they are convinced they saw something at the bottom.

Cave explorers, also known as spelunkers, recreationally explore wild cave systems, making their way through total darkness, tight squeezes, and sometimes water hazards.

Deemed an ‘extreme sport,’ it’s not for everyone.

Now, a group of adrenaline junkies has gone viral after sending a camera down into America’s deepest pit, and viewers believe something is lurking at the bottom.

On the YouTube channel ActionAdventureTwins, a set of identical twins share their action-packed adventures.

Their channel’s description says they ‘will always leave you wondering what’s next,’ and that their adventures plan to get bigger and bigger.

It’s safe to say they’ve lived up to their promise, they now have a whopping 750,000 subscribers and numerous videos have gone viral.

In one chilling clip, titled ‘Stuck Alone In A Cave – Anxiety Warning,’ Edward finds himself stuck.

The video shows him exploring alone inside a cave – the gap he crawls through continues to narrow and is waterlogged.

Edward tells viewers: “The reason I kept pushing is I thought it was going to get wider, but as I get closer I realize it was an illusion.

“The water was just so calm and still above me that it was reflecting the ceiling off and just looked like it was a way bigger space but it’s continuing to narrow down.

“It’s been raining off and on all day. If it floods, I’m done for.”

But now, there’s another video of the twins that everyone is talking about.

One terrified viewer writes: “Wonderful – three of my fears in one video: being underground, claustrophobia, and falling into a pit.”

“Damn, that’s deep. Was half expecting to see a sign saying please have a seat, the devil will be with you shortly,” another remarks.

A third person comments: “The muffled descending sound was terrifying! And the spinning… I was just waiting for something to jump scare.”

In the viral video, the two spelunkers film inside the Fantastic Pit, a part of the Ellison’s Cave in Georgia.

The Fantastic Pit vertically plunges 586 feet, is around twice the height of the Statue of Liberty, and is almost as tall as Seattle’s Space Needle, per Atlas Obscura.

It’s part of Ellison’s Cave, the 12th-deepest cave in the United States.

The twins explored the mysterious site alongside guests Nate and Ben, who also have an exploring channel called Deep Freedom.

At the start of the video, the twins tell viewers: “We’re gonna repel down like, 128 feet, and we’re gonna see the deepest cave in America, and we’re gonna drop a GoPro down it.”

The group eventually reaches a point in the system where they can send the camera down 596 feet, allowing them to observe the cave’s surroundings.

Apart from the camera’s light, it is pitch black – alongside the muffled audio, it’s especially chilling to watch.

Some people in the comments are convinced they can see a shadow of a man standing in the back or ” a dark-shaped figure lurking like a beast,” although that seems to be their minds playing tricks on them.

At one point in the footage, the GoPro is 714 feet down below the Earth’s surface.

The camera slowly rotates as it reaches the bottom, showing a mini waterfall and bare walls, water can be heard dripping in the background.
