Julia Roberts, the famous actress, has dated some well-known guys over the years, but she really found her happiness when she met her true love in 2002. Her marriage to Daniel Moder, who is her husband now, has had its ups and downs. Before reaching their current happy place, they went through a lot of drama together.
Moder and Vera Steimberg were already a married couple when they met for the first time in 2000 while filming The Mexican. Even though she claimed she had nothing to do with Moder’s split from his first wife, there were whispers that the star of Runaway Bride was the cause of his marriage falling apart.
Before marrying Moder, Roberts dated several actors, including Dylan McDermott, Matthew Perry, Jason Patric, and Liam Neeson. She has three kids with Moder: twins named Phinnaeus and Hazel, and a son named Henry. Roberts was briefly engaged to Kiefer Sutherland, but they called it off just days before the wedding. She also married country singer Lyle Lovett, but that marriage only lasted from 1993 to 1995. There were also rumors that she dated Benjamin Bratt when she first met Moder.
Today, 20 years after tying the knot, Roberts and Moder are as in love as day one.
Roberts is known for being private about her personal life, but in 2018, she opened up about her marriage to Gwyneth Paltrow during an interview on the GOOP podcast. She described the moment she met Danny and married him as the first time her life changed forever, in the most amazing and surprising way.
“Even now, at this very moment, he is still my favorite person,” she said. “I care more about what he thinks and how he sees things than anyone else. In that way, we are really lucky. We love each other a lot and have so much fun together.”

She mentioned that getting married is like taking a risk, and that their love grows deeper as time goes on. “You can’t be sure if you’ll both like the same couch or if he’ll want towels with designs,” the writer explains. “But when you’re young and in love, you think, ‘Sure, we’ll get married, build a house, and have kids,’ dreaming about all those things together.”
The actress said we are really lucky because there’s a clear way things work out. “You don’t realize this until you’re actually in the moment,” she explained. “Choosing him was the best choice I’ve ever made.”
