Alex Morgan Had A Very Interesting Response To USWNT Winning Olympic Gold After They Left Her Off The Team

Veteran striker Alex Morgan broke her silence after the United States women’s soccer team did what they had to do without her in Paris and brought home the gold.

The United States Women’s National Soccer Team brought along a fresh-faced coaching staff and a roster of young players that should be able to keep the squad at the top of the table for the next decade or more.

The team got off to a great start, winning the Olympic gold medal on Saturday at Parc des Princes, defeating Brazil in the final 1-0.

Longtime forward Alex Morgan may have been snubbed from the team, but she took to social media to praise her ex-teammates.

“Alyssa Naeher you are out of this world!” she wrote of the American goalkeeper.

She added: “OOSA OOSA OOSA !!!”

Morgan co-captioned the USWNT from 2018 to 2020 and is the team’s active leading goal scorer, ranking fifth all-time.

Her not being picked had a lot to do with father time as well as injuries, such as when Alex Morgan missed more than a month with the San Diego Wave after she injured her left ankle in April.

The United States had not won gold since the 2012 London Games but made up for it this year by bringing the gold back home.

Alex Morgan Spoke On Being Snubbed From U.S. Women’s National Team’s

The United States women’s national soccer team entered the 2024 Paris Olympics with a new coach and a retooled roster that did not include Alex Morgan.

Morgan, who is 35, responded to the news on social media, saying she was “disappointed” by the outcome.

“Today, I’m disappointed about not having the opportunity to represent our country on the Olympic stage. This will always be a tournament that is close to my heart and I take immense pride any time I put on the crest,” she wrote in a post on X.

“In less than a month, I look forward to supporting this team and cheering them on alongside the rest of our country. LFG”
