LeBron James has once again cemented his place in history by winning his third Olympic gold medal for Team USA. He also claimed the MVP title of the Paris Olympic tournament. With this latest accolade, James has now earned MVP honors at every level of his illustrious career. However, following Team USA securing its fifth straight gold medal, sports analyst Nick Wright sparked a debate about how this victory could impact Michael Jordan’s legacy.
On the latest episode of “First Things First,” Wright claimed that Michael Jordan might have the most to lose following Team USA’s gold medal win in the 2024 Paris Olympics. According to Wright, LeBron’s outstanding performance in these Olympics has prompted many to reexamine Jordan’s time with the 1992 Dream Team.
“The person with the most to lose, assuming Team USA wins, is one Michael Jeffrey Jordan. Because, well, a lot of people are, because of LeBron’s excellence in these Olympics, looking up that ’92 Dream Team,” Wright said.

“They’re like, hey, who was the only guy who didn’t play well? Who was the only guy who shot poorly from the field and turned the ball over and probably was out gambling in the casinos of Barcelona? And by the way, how old was he? How old is LeBron? And how many golds? Michael Jordan, there’s, listen, there’s no more documentaries to come,” he added.
