The athletics gets under way in the Stade de France
Day 7 of the Paris 2024 Olympics gets underway with Team GB sat in sixth place on the medal table with six gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals.
The Brits will be looking to add to their medal haul today with big opportunities to pick up medals on the regatta lake once again in the rowing this morning, while the evening will present plenty of opportunities in the pool.
Throughout the day, GB’s track and field athletes will be hoping to kick off their medal hunts with intention as they take part in the heats today.
From 9:15 track and field athletics qualification will get underway with Morgan Lake looking to qualify in the women’s high jump event.
At 10am the diving returns with Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding competing in the men’s 3m synchronised springboard final.
Laugher is already a legend of British diving, winning gold in the same event at Rio 2016, however struggled at Tokyo placing seventh.
At the same time more heats in the swimming will be taking place with James Guy featuring in the 100m butterfly heats.
At 10:10 three of GB’s 1500m male runners will be looking to qualify from round one with Neil Gourley, Josh Kerr and George Mills racing.
At 10:17 Freya Constance Colbert and Abbie Wood will be swimming in the heats of the women’s 200m individual medley.
At 10:30 GB will have a great chance to medal as the men’s pair race in the medal final looking to add to the rowing team’s collection so far.
Half an hour later the trampolinists will be getting their games underway with Olympic silver and bronze medallist Bryony Page competing alongside Isabelle Songhurst in qualification with Zak Perzamanos going later at 17:00.
All eyes will turn back to the pool at 11:03 as Team GB’s women look to qualify in the heats of the 4x100m medley relay.
From 11:05 the sailing will be getting underway with a range of British interest.
The rowers return at 11:22 in the final of the women’s lightweight double sculls as Imogen Grant and Emily Craig enter the medal race as one of the favourites.
At 12:13 there will be more medals up for grabs in the men’s skiff medal race with James Peters and Fynn Sterritt tempting their chances.
Then again at 13:00 the medal rush continues with GB’s equestrian team going in the jumping team final with a real chance of bringing home success.
At 13:23 there will be more sailing while at 14:30 one of the Olympics newest and most exciting events will be getting underway with the kayak cross time trial.
The women will go in the kayak cross at 15:40.

Emma Wilson will have a chance of a medal in the women’s windsurfing final at sometime in the afterno0n following in from 13:03.
From 18:00 the athletics will get underway with heats in the 4x400m mixed relay women’s 800m featuring medal hope Keely Hodgkinson and the men’s shot put.
GB will play Germany in the men’s hockey before a potential medal rush of an evening with three swimming finals featuring GB swimmers.
Benjamin Proud will go in the 50m freestyle final, Katie Shanahan and Honey Osrin race in the women’s 200m backstroke final while Duncan Scott and Tom Dean will be looking for a podium place in the men’s 200m individual medley final.
