People applaud King’s Guard horse for getting ‘payback’ on tourist in terrifying incident
A King’s Guard horse took matters into its own hands after it got “payback” on tourists who don’t read the signs as they pose for photos.
Every year, millions of people flock to the UK to enjoy the history, architecture, and countless pubs that it has to offer because nobody goes for the weather.
One of the biggest draws is the royal pageantry that is observed across the land, especially in London as Buckingham Palace sits in the center of the iconic city.
As per the Ministry Of Defence, the Number 12 Company Irish Guards formally took over duties from Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards and became King Charles III guard’s immediately after Queen Elizabeth II passed away in September 2022.
Traditionally, the King’s guards remain motionless while on duty so that makes for an easy photo opportunity for tourists – though that doesn’t extend to the horses.
The Household Cavalry Museum at the Horse Guards Parade near the palace is a popular place for tourists to head to for pictures, but some get more than they bargained for.
Shocking footage uploaded to social media shows a tourist standing next to a horse with a guard riding it, and the horse grabs her by the hair and drags her backward.
It would seem that this horse is a bit bitey but its fun doesn’t stop there, because the video shows that no matter who gets next to it, it will attempt to have a nibble.
Maybe the animal is taking the duty of protecting the King incredibly seriously, or perhaps it’s just having a bit of fun to pass the time as it stands there.

One thing that appears to be missed by those coming under attack from the horse is the giant sign next to it that reads: “BEWARE – Horses may kick or bite! Thank you.”
It would seem that not many are sympathetic to those coming under attack from the horse as people commented on the video, finding the whole thing pretty funny.
One person wrote: “I love that this horse gets a bit of pay back on the humans!”
A second penned: The fact that it happened right in front of a warning sign makes it twice as funny,” while a third said: “The horse had the last laugh.”
All of the tourists managed to walk away unscathed, though a little bit startled, and the horse is doing a fine job of protecting the royal family!
