Jocelyne Wildenstein, 84, claims she’s never had cosmetic surgery

Swiss socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein has denied that she’s ever had cosmetic surgery after years of speculation.

The 84-year-old, dubbed “Catwoman” due to her striking and often-discussed looks, has consistently denied undergoing cosmetic surgery.

Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2018, the socialite doubled down on her claim that she’s never had any work done.

After being bluntly asked, she responded: “No, especially when we look back at my pictures – I think of course I am maybe more beautiful [back then].

“When we are young there’s a certain freshness we lose with the years. But you still find the same eyes, same high cheeks, or same nose. I think I was more pretty.”

Wildenstein’s fiancé Lloyd Klein, added his opinions, stating: “I don’t understand the whole press and the Catwoman thing because [she has] always looked like that. She never really did anything to change her face. I have pictures from 16 years old where she looks exactly the same as today.”

In a recent interview with The Sun, Wildenstein addressed longstanding rumors, once again claiming she’s never gone under the knife.

“I haven’t had plastic surgery. I am scared of what can happen, and I don’t like to have something heavy. Sometimes it is a bit heavy and terrible,” she stated.

She further clarified that she has never used fillers and shared concerns about adverse reactions.

“I don’t like the Botox,” she said. “Everyone has a different reaction to it. I have had Botox only twice. I don’t know if I am allergic, but when I had it, it did not go well with me. It was not a good result; my face swelled up.”

In a 2023 interview with Interview magazine, she dismissed claims of facial alterations, attributing perceived differences to her hairstyles and fashion choices.

“I have changed a lot. My hair went from very curly to very straight, but I always had stylish, wild hair,” she said.

“When you look at pictures of me, some with curly hair, some with exotic hair, some with straight hair, you can see how it completely changes your appearance. Also, the way I dress changes how I am seen.”

To dispute Wildenstein’s claims, her then-husband Alec Wildenstein sat down with Vanity Fair in 1998 where he revealed all about the Swiss socialite.

He recounted a time when Wildenstein claimed that her eyes looked “baggy” so the couple allegedly went and got an eye lift together, and this sparked her “obsession” with cosmetic surgery.

“She was thinking that she could fix her face like a piece of furniture. Skin does not work that way. But she wouldn’t listen,” he said at the time.

Wildenstein has consistently pushed back against these narratives.
