Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films, had a secret relationship with her co-star for nine years.
The Irish actress joined the wizarding franchise in 2007’s Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix – starring alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.
The series grossed a staggering $7.7 billion worldwide over eight films from 2001 to 2011.
While on the set of Order of the Phoenix, Lynch met the actor who would go on to be her long-term partner.
Lynch and her mystery man weren’t the only couple who met on the set of the popular franchise.
Bonnie Wright, who portrayed Ginny Weasley, and Jamie Campbell Bower, who played a young Gellert Grindelwald, also struck up a romance.
They met on the set of Deathly Hallows Part One and went on to get engaged.
However, the pair ended their engagement and split up in 2012.
Lynch and her co-star love interested met on the set of that movie and secretly dated until 2015, after which they went public with a series of Instagram posts.
During their relationship, Lynch even persuaded her boyfriend to go vegan.
The actor shared a photo of the pair visiting the Lord of the Rings set in New Zealand when he made the comment, reports The Mirror.
He wrote: “That holiday was the last time I ate meat and I pity the boy in this photo who had more in common with those sheep than he realized.
“I’m happy to say that I’m now much closer to knowing the true cost of my food.”
However, shortly after he uploaded this, the couple split up.
Lynch confirmed the breakup at a premiere of the Harry Potter spinoff series, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
Revealing that they are still genuine pals, the actress told Us Weekly (via The Mirror): “We’re both vegans, so we go to a lot of vegan events together.
“So yeah, we’re good friends.”
The pair still remain close, as they both continue to post photos of each other on social media, with her man wishing Lynch a happy birthday.
He posted a photo of her on a boat, alongside the caption: “Happiest of birthdays to someone who is always delighted to see ducklings!”
She replied to the post by commenting: “Thanks bro!!! Haha no really thank you!”
Lynch’s partner was Robbie Jarvis, who played a younger version of James Potter.
He only appears in the film during a flashback scene, which shows him laughing as he uses a spell to disarm a young Severus Snape.
While Jarvis only had a brief scene, Lynch continued to play the Ravenclaw student for three more films, including Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and both of the Deathly Hallows movies.
She would become a key member of the supporting cast and a loyal ally of Potter.
