Musk is looking for a place where his 11 kids and two of their three mothers can live close to each other. This way, the younger siblings can grow up together, and Musk can spend more time with his family.

A guy named Elon Musk, who is the boss of Tesla and SpaceX, has 11 kids with three different women. Recently, The New York Times reported that he wants to move his entire family into three big houses in Austin, Texas, that are right next to each other.
His partner, Claire Boucher, who is also known as Grimes and has three kids with him, doesn’t like this idea. They’ve been arguing about who gets to take care of their kids. According to People magazine, Grimes wants another house, possibly in Los Angeles, so that all of Musk’s former partners and their kids can live together, as mentioned by The Bytes.
This sprawling setup doesn’t come cheap. With multiple properties totalling around $35 million, the compound includes a six-bedroom mansion just a 10-minute walk from the main villa, where Musk often stays.

The Austin compound plan
Musk initially wanted to build a huge family estate on a large piece of land close to Tesla’s headquarters in Austin. However, things got complicated when the U.S. Justice Department began investigating if Tesla’s resources were being used to construct a fancy glass house just for Musk.
Even though Musk denied these rumors in August 2023, he kept looking for properties in Austin for his growing family. He was living in a big 6,900-square-foot house with Boucher until she moved out in the middle of 2023 due to a custody battle.
