Tyson took to social media to say he was victorious following his fight with Paul
Despite a unanimous decision in Jake Paul’s favor, Mike Tyson has taken to social media to claim he actually ‘won’.
After months of waiting and delays, on November 15, Youtuber-turned boxer Jake Paul and former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson finally went toe to toe.
While a certainly bizarre matchup considering Tyson hasn’t fought professionally since 2005 and is 31 years old Paul’s senior, the fight brought in fascinated viewers.

The pair were first meant to fight in July, but the bout got postponed after Tyson experienced a flare-up of an ulcer.
After completing 8 2-minute rounds, the fight was given to Paul via judges decision, but on Twitter, Tyson explained how he won – only not in the sense you might think.
The former champion also claimed he had almost died months prior to the fight and was happy for his good health now.
On November 16, Tyson tweeted: “This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.
“I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you.”
While Tyson hasn’t revealed more about his apparent brush with death, in May earlier this year he caused a stir on an aeroplane that was flying from Miami to LA.
Tyson reportedly became nauseous and dizzy during the flight, forcing staff members to take action.

Airline staff asked passengers if there was a doctor on board who could provide assistance as they tried to deal with the situation.
When the flight touched down in Los Angeles, paramedics boarded the plane to administer treatment to Tyson.
This resulted in the fight being postponed till November, with Tyson’s team announcing he was healthy and fit for the fight after recovering.
However, this might have been a great opportunity to cancel the bout, if social media comments are anything to go by.
Many felt underwhelmed by the fight overall, despite the full-steam hype train between the two fighters.
“I didn’t pay and I still want my money back,” one user wrote on a YouTube highlight reel of the fight.
“Man I can’t believe I walked all the way to the living room for this s***,” joked another.
“Fight was so bad I want to press charges for money laundering,” a third commented.
