Sacha Jones has opened up on the ‘dark’ few days prior to her shock split from on-screen husband Ross McCarthy
Speaking to press for the first time since last week’s bombshell ‘reunion episode’ finally landed, recently-single Married At First Sight UK star Sacha Jones has claimed that on-screen hubby Ross McCarthy unexpectedly ended their romance via text.
Sitting down with OK! Magazine, the Channel 4 fan-favourite also recalled the final days of their relationship, when a fiery spat with Ross prompted her to throw him out of her family home.
Many MAFS UK fans were initially blindsided when Sacha and Ross’ split hit headlines last week following a generally smooth-sailing romance.

Okay, sure. They hit a couple of bumps in the road along the way – particularly when they respectively butted-heads with several of their co-stars during heated dinner party confrontations.
But all in all, many viewers believed that the show’s resident match-makers deserved praise for making a perfect match in Sacha and Ross.
That was, until last week’s final vow renewal ceremony saw Sacha storm off in tears, with many believing they’d endured a falling out over where they’d live once the show came to an end – something brought up several times during the series with dread.
And despite Sacha insisting that something else entirely had set her off that day, and the pair putting on a strong front at the reunion episode that aired last Thursday – filmed in the weeks following the conclusion of the show – Sacha and Ross were soon completely and utterly single.
Only now has Sacha lifted the lid on what prompted the ultimate breakdown of their relationship, claiming she and her friends saw a side to Ross when filming ended that he’d kept hidden from viewers.

“When I think of my time with Ross after the show, it’s just dark. Dark,” she began in conversation with OK!.
“I can’t think of one happy memory after the show. It was awful. The last happy memory I have is going to the first reunion together and putting on a strong front.”
Speaking about the precise moment their relationship ended, Sacha recalled one previous incident which saw her throwing her Ross out of her family home after his ‘anger issues’ became too difficult to handle.
And after doing so, she said, Ross allegedly texted her, saying: “We’re done, I’m ending it. Don’t text me again please, take care.”
Sacha also said her friends and family had previously urged her to leave Ross – who has since gone Insta-official with a new beau.

“[Friends] said I was constantly zoned out when I saw them. I wasn’t ‘present’,” she went on.
“One friend said I looked like a ghost. It was a very dark time. A lot of people in these relationships blame themselves, but I was reassured that no, it’s not me.”
The Midlands favourite hasn’t yet addressed her Manchester-born ex’s new relationship with Cheshire-based girlfriend Magda – which he confirmed on social media last week.
He captioned a video of he and Magda – as she’s reportedly known – running along the beach together: “The moment I been waiting for…. The real deal. My world.”

MAFS UK’s Sacha shares private texts with husband Ross as she reveals real reason she stormed out of vow renewal
The reality star claims Channel 4 producers edited the scene to make it look as though she was crying over Ross not moving to Walsall
Taking to her Instagram story this morning (12 November), the reality star launched an online tirade against TV bosses, branding them ‘disgusting’ for supposedly changing the narrative of her love story with husband Ross.
For those out of the loop with the romance experiment’s latest drama, Monday’s instalment saw fan-favourites Sacha and Ross saying their vows for the final time ahead of tonight’s ultimate commitment ceremony.
Recent events on the show have proven tests for the couple – particularly their respective spats with controversial co-star Alex Henry – and while it initially looked as though they’d made it out the other side, they hit a colossal bump in the road again last night.

By the end of the episode, Sacha had stormed off in a flurry of tears, leaving Ross heartbroken at the end of the aisle, with producers implying that the pair had butted-heads over Manchester-based Ross not wanting to move to Midlands girl Sacha’s hometown of Walsall.
After the episode was broadcast, however, the bride took to social media to claim that the real reason ‘why I was crying’ was to do with the team ‘spoiling’ a surprise she’d planned for her other-half.

In a self-recorded video released today, Sacha admitted: “I am seething, I want to swear so bad. How dare they make it look like I was crying over something to do with what Ross was saying.
“No no no no no…they ruined something for me, a surprise I had for Ross right before the vows and they’ve edited to make it look like I was crying about Walsall. They’ve done me dirty, how false and fake and ridiculous and a complete lie that edit is.”
And following her her initial annoyance, Sacha has since attempted to back up her assertions by sharing a series of text conversations between her and Ross, in which they could be seen discussing Ross’ move to her ends.
“I won’t have them mess with my truth and paint a picture that NEVER happened,” she penned in the caption to a new Instagram story.
“Me and Ross KNEW he was moving to Walsall before final vows. So i’m not gonna cry thinking he’s not am I lmao”.

In one of the screengrabs, Ross could be seen having told his on-screen wife: “I will get a train there and back for my work I can’t leave them it only 2hr which is fine I can do that.
“Also bleu on weekends I will have her back down here 1 weekend with family, you can always come with me or you can chill with your friends it’s either way WIN WIN.
“And maybe 1 weekend up bham then September I have her every other weekends”.
Another text message saw Sacha telling Ross: “I really really love you why are you the best – are you sure thats okay?
“We can always move to manny eventually if you hate it here, we just need some time here first so i know we’ll be okay.”
Ross then replied: “100 percent this is my final decision babe – Because rememeber I said I want to make it work, I want you to feel safe, I want to prove it to you”.
