What Liam Payne Told Hotel Guest In Lobby Before He Died Is Heartbreaking

It has been revealed what Liam Payne said to other hotel guests in the lobby before he died.

The star died after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. He had allegedly arrived earlier this month to attend his former bandmate, Niall Horan’s concert.

The 31-year-old had been visiting Argentina with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. On October 14, Cassidy took to TikTok to share why she had to leave Payne and head back to the US.

She said: “Travel back to Florida with me. I was so ready to leave.

“Honestly, I love South America but I hate staying in one place for too long and we were supposed to be there for like five days and it turned into two weeks and I was just like I need to go home.”

Multiple witnesses shared that Payne fell from his room on the third floor of the Casa Sur Palmero Hotel not long after 5pm on 16 October.

A fan at the scene described the late star as “desperate” to be recognised.

Payne was heard saying he was “f***ed up” because he was in a boyband.

The fan claimed that he had announced himself, shouting “i’m Liam” at a group of guests who were not “bothered” about who he was.

She claimed that the star was sat in the lobby on his laptop using the “accessibility setting” to read his emails for “the attention”.

She shared “Suddenly he took the computer, shouted ‘f**k this s**t mate!’ and started bashing the computer on the ground.”. She added “But he just kind of grunted. Then he said ‘I used to be in a boyband. That’s why I’m so f**ked up’.”

She also shared that a “British guy” said sorry on “his behalf” and explained he “gets so high” sometimes.

She explained that he appeared “aggressive” but not towards anyone.

Authorities have now confirmed that he died from “multiple traumas” that caused “internal and external bleeding”.

An autopsy was then performed on the body by Forensic Medical Corps at the Judicial Morgue on Viamonte Street. Infobae then got access to the results.

His injuries were consistent with a 10-metre fall. A  toxicological and anatomical-pathological study will be done on his blood and urine to determine if any drugs were in his system at the time of his death.

The Mobile Criminalistics Unit of the City Police of Buenos Aires found some items at the scene including a bottle of whiskey, a lighter, and a phone that may have been his and will be examined. His fingerprints were on all the items.

A white powder was also found alongside side energy pills and various medications such as clonazepam.

Police in Argentina are still investigating the scene. The post-mortem showed the cause of death to be “multiple injuries and internal and external haemorrhaging as a result of the fall.”

The authorities are treating his death as a “doubtful death” and paperwork suggest that there could be two people facing criminal charges.

Police have confirmed five people have been questioned in connection with Payne’s death. Three staff members at the hotel and two women who were allegedly in the hotel room before his passing in an attempt to make a “reconstruction of his last hours.” Police claim that the two women had “already left the hotel when the incident occurred.”

It was reported that he had 25 found injuries and all of them were assumed to be from the fall. Meaning that the “the intervention of third parties would be ruled out,” for the moments directly before the fall.

A resurfaced clip of the star has gained popularity since his passing. Payne welcomed his only child, Bear, in 2017 with then girlfriend, Cheryl Tweedy.

The pair then split the following year and were co-parenting.

In the clip from Payne’s 31st birthday in August, he called his son a ‘mini me’ and shared: “I didn’t get any dad socks yet though. I’m going to speak to my son in a little bit which I’m really excited about,”. “Bless him. He’s getting so big now. He’s a big boy and he looks like a mini me. As if we needed any more me in the world.”

It has now been revealed that Payne amassed an incredible wealth of £46 million throughout his career.

MailOnline reported that his seven-year-old son will inherit £30 million from his late father.

In the wake of the heartbreaking news, fans gathered outside the hotel to pay their respects to the star.

The band have also shared their condolences on their Instagram.

According to a police statement, authorities arrived on the scene after they were ‘informed of an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol’.

City ambulance service provider spokesman Alberto Crescenti shared that he had fallen around 40 metres and the body had ‘severe injuries which were incompatible with life.’

‘The alarm was raised at 5.04pm local time saying a person was lying in an internal patio at Casa Sur.

‘At 5.11pm an ambulance arrived and the man was certified dead.

‘Afterwards we found out he had been a famous singer. Unfortunately the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved to be fatal. There was no possibility of resuscitating him.’

Payne’s final Snapchat post showed him with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy and appearing happy – a picture that was originally captured last August.

He also shared a video of himself enjoying a late breakfast in his hotel room with girlfriend, Kate.

They shared that they had been ‘waking up at 1pm every day’ and he was planing to dress as Forrest Gump for Halloween.

He spoke to his followers on Snapchat about his morning and shared he planned to play polo later in the day, only moments before his death.

Liam’s final Instagram post was just as heartbreaking, he shared a picture with his former band members paying tribute to American documentary maker Morgan Spurlock.
