Bella Thomson, known to millions as Bella Brave on TikTok, has sadly passed away at the young age of 10.
Kyla Thomson, Bella’s mother, shared the devastating news on Monday, July 15, revealing that Bella passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, in the presence of her family, according to PEOPLE.

Kyla shared a heartfelt tribute on TikTok, honoring Bella’s memory by showcasing a video of her daughter dancing happily in a beautiful purple dress, accompanied by the emotional song ‘Never Enough’ from The Greatest Showman.
Kyla wrote that Bella passed away peacefully in their arms, encouraging Bella’s followers to honor her memory by keeping her name on their lips, her memories alive, and her bravery in their hearts.

She extended an invitation to Bella’s community to share anecdotes about how the young star had impacted their lives, highlighting Bella’s message of bravery and love. She ended with the words: “Bella would want you to remember; God is love, be courageous, and you are never too old to bring a stuffed animal. #bellabrave”.
Bella became well-known on social media for her unyielding determination and optimism in the face of multiple rare medical conditions she has dealt with since birth. Despite being born with a type of dwarfism, Hirschsprung’s Disease, and severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), she and her mother shared their journey, serving as a source of inspiration for numerous followers through Bella’s strength.
Bella had to undergo a crucial bowel transplant last summer as a result of complications arising from Hirschsprung’s Disease, a condition that impacts nerve cells in the colon.

Despite aspirations for a successful surgery to alleviate her medical issues, Bella encountered additional obstacles. Most recently, she was hospitalized at Toronto’s SickKids Hospital due to complications arising from a viral lung infection, which led to her being put into a medically induced coma.
During Bella’s stay in the hospital, Kyla consistently provided updates to her supporters on TikTok, detailing the progress and setbacks in Bella’s health journey. Despite a few positive developments, Bella’s condition continued to be unstable.
However, Kyla’s updates showcased her unyielding hope and the family’s commitment to help Bella overcome her recent health challenge.
Kyla remembered how fearless Bella was, stating to PEOPLE, “No matter what challenges came her way, she never showed any fear. She was the one who taught me about courage.”
The online community has been profoundly affected by the passing of Bella Brave, with ongoing displays of love and support for her family. Kyla has shown appreciation for the overwhelming support and heartfelt memories shared by Bella’s followers.
There are currently no arrangements for Bella’s funeral.
Bella is outlived by her parents, Kyla and Lyle Thomson, as well as her younger brother, Waylon.
