Song Jae-lim has been found dead aged 39.

Seoul Seongdong police have confirmed the death of popular Korean actor Song Jae-lim after his body was discovered at his home in the Seongdong district of Seoul on November 7.
Korea Times reported that a friend, who was supposed to be having lunch with the actor, found him at approximately 12:30PM, according to police.
The Korean outlet Soompi also added that a “two-page letter” was also discovered at the scene.

At this time, police believe that “no foul play” was involved in the 39-year-old’s death but a full-scale investigation into the matter has been launched.
The actor’s former agency stated they didn’t know his whereabouts after his contract expired last year and were also shocked by the news of his passing.
Song’s family confirmed to Yonhap News Agency that they will be holding a small funeral in Seoul on November 14 for the star’s close family members.

Fans have been taking to social media to honor Song in the wake of the tragic news.
“I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the muse of mine, Song Jae Lim. Words can hardly express the sorrow I feel for your loss. May you find comfort in the love & support of those around you, & in the hard work you have done through years of your career,” wrote one user on X, while another added: “I’ll take this brief moment for grieving one of the most great actors I’ve ever seen. Song Jae Lim May you rest in peace and all your work will be remembered.”
A third also expressed their sorrow writing: “Another angel is gone, actor and model #SongJaeRim left us at 39 years old.”
Born in 1985, Song Jae Rim made his debut into the world of acting in the 2009 film Actresses and went on to garner a more dedicated fanbase with his role in the 2012 drama The Moon Embracing the Sun.
In 2014, also appeared on the Korean reality TV show We Got Married, where celebrities pretend to live life as a married couple, where viewers fell in love with his charm, charisma, and his ability to woo his on-screen wife.
The news comes shortly after the news of the passing of other Korean stars over the past few years including actress Park Soo Ryun, singer and dancer Moonbin and South Korean influencer BJ Ahyeong.
