Red Heads Are ‘Better In Bed’, According To Science

A number of studies have pointed out that people with red hair are thought to be ‘better in the bed’ compared to those with brunette or blonde hair.

It seems their unique physical traits and genetic composition are what make them naturals when it comes to bedroom activities.

Stephen Douglas, the author of “The Redhead Encyclopedia,” mentions that redheads possess a ‘sweet and musky’ aroma on their skin.

This distinctive fragrance is caused by specific pheromones, which may make individuals with red hair more attractive to others.

Moreover, redheads carry a particular gene known as the MC1R gene.

This gene is linked to their unique red hair color.

It also renders these individuals more sensitive to touch compared to men and women who have different hair colors.

Research conducted at the University of Hamburg indicates that people with red hair are more sexually active than those with blonde or brunette hair.

The study suggests that redheads, whether single or in a committed relationship, not only engage in sexual activities more frequently but also experience a higher rate of orgasms.

Specifically, ginger women reportedly have the highest orgasm rate among all hair colors, with a rate of 41 percent.

Additionally, another study found a correlation between red hair, particularly in women, and ‘various traits related to sexual life, namely with higher sexual desire’.

Sex Researcher Professor Dr. Werner Habermehl commented:

“The sex lives of women with red hair were clearly more active than those with other hair colour, with more partners and having sex more often than the average.”

“The research shows that the fiery redhead certainly lives up to her reputation.”

The advantages of being a redhead don’t just end there.

Redheads are also said to maintain a youthful appearance for a longer duration.

Researchers at Erasmus University of Rotterdam discovered that people possessing the remarkable MC1R gene appear on average two years younger than their actual age.

However, these benefits come with a downside as well, as redheads have a higher tolerance for both hot and cold temperatures, which can be a double-edged sword.

So, is red the best hair color?

Well, that’s something for you to decide…
