Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are already married. After so much planning, the wedding has come and gone. And though there’s still some interest about what exactly went down during the big night, now the questions mainly focus on what comes next. What did the newlyweds do right after?
Well, mysterious lights were seen at Swift’s Rhode Island home during the July 4 weekend, possibly signaling that the newlyweds spent the rest of the weekend there. Swift and Kelce got married in a lavish ceremony at Madison Square Garden on July 3, with over 1,000 guests and vows that were apparently 20-minutes each. There were no reports of where the couple was staying before or after the ceremony.
But one day after the wedding, an eyewitness told the Daily Mail that there was “activity” on Swift’s mansion mid-day Saturday.” The singer’s private jet landed at Connecticut’s Groton-New London Airport on Saturday afternoon. However, it wasn’t known if Swift or Kelce was on the plane.
The eyewitness did say “there were people at her house” in the late afternoon and during a firework display, around 9 PM ET. “Three to four people were seen on the roof, although it was hard to see who it was,” the source said.
“Later on, it appeared they were hiding during the fireworks since you could see the top of their heads as they watched the colorful display.”
Figures could reportedly be seen from the public beach, but it was too dark to make out who it was.
Lights were spotted inside the house when the sun started to set, but “no one was easily seen walking around inside.”
However, one clear clue that it might have been Swift? The security presence around the house, including an armed security guard at the front and two additional guards at the back looking out towards the beach. Security is always ramped up when Swift is in the Rhode Island home.
This comes after Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice reported on the couple’s honeymoon plans. “The honeymoon is locked down tighter than the wedding,” one insider told Shuter. “Taylor and Travis don’t want anyone knowing where they’ll be or when. They’ve told almost no one.”

However, the gossip columnist reported that they were set to have a three-week honeymoon where they’ll island-hop through the Caribbean and then head to some of Europe’s most exclusive retreats, including Italy’s Lake Como, the French Riviera, Croatia, and Greece.

“It’s the ultimate bucket-list honeymoon,” another insider said. “Every stop has been chosen for luxury, privacy, and unforgettable experiences. The schedule is flexible, and they’re prepared to change plans at a moment’s notice if they feel they’re attracting too much attention.”
The Kansas City Chiefs’ 2026 training camp opens on July 24, so wherever they’re going, it’ll likely be soon.
